Global warming? Climate change? Hummm don't see any evidence of that around here. Wonder, is it hot in here to you? Feels a little moist and chewy today. Can't quite figure out why the weather has been all over the place lately? Really weird and 'changy' (is that a word? ...I digress). Just so strange. Huh? What? No, no it's not climate change. Couldn't be.

Get a grip. It is.

Did you happen to notice where it said that it was hotter than this a hundred years ago? It's called natural temperature cycles.

A hundred years ago there was a peak. But it's not peaks that matter, but the long-term average.

The climate over time has been warming. See the peaks and valleys in the linked chart, and how the AVERAGE trend for the entire world has been ever upward.

Stay inside - if you don't have AC, spray yourself with water from a spray bottle - the evaporation will help.

Each day well into the new week ahead will be in the 120s. It's not out of the question that we could get close to 130 degrees on Sunday, which hasn't happened since July 1913.

-------------------------------------

So there was Global Warming/ Climate Change in 1913 ?

Of the many things you don't know you don't know about there is drought. There has been a drought for 5 years. It is predicted to last for 100 years.

Don't worry the climate will stick both hands in your wallet and take all of your money as result of higher prices for food, more destructive storms, and shortages of water. But don't worry rich people and corporations will survive. They'll just jack up the prices even more when you ask why.

The record high of 130 degrees happened in 1913. Was there "global warming" then?

2012 was the record hottest year globally. 9 of the hottest years ever recorded were this century. Will 2013 be another record? Have you had a heat stroke or is connecting dots something you just can't manage?

Tempatures started climbing just after that and they haven't stopped. There is a very nice chart in this article. For the reading impaired.
