Why not just go for the whole enchilada. Legalize corruption and bribery in government.

The party of law and order.....LOL.
12:06 PM on 07/09/2013
They basically did that with Citizens United.

No! Please tell me it's not so! Why, I thought the GOP stood for American values. Well, rich American values, anyway.

Ladies and gentlemen, the number one thing that is broken in America is the money in politics. Get rid of that and everything else will fall in line. This should be our highest national priority. You can't get good, honest government for the people while all the pigs are at the trough in Washington.

This is just another attempt at increasing the scope of the Citizens United SCOTUS ruling to the extent that there is basically NO RULES. In a day of Super PACs funded by such figures as Karl Rove and the Koch brothers, it is certainly in the favor of GOP and Tea Baggers to further be allowed to fund their dystopian media campaigns with absolute lack of traceability. We can further see with the reaction to the recent Voters Right Act ruling that there is now a full war being waged by the conservatives to win control of this country through any means necessary, including shredding the constitution, to achieve minority rule over the majority. We need to force the government to take a hardline stance on all voter issues, including passing laws voiding the Citizens United Ruling, making the Voters Rights Act apply to ALL 50 states, and making the rules for Super PACS much more stringent and transparent. Only then do we stand a chance at saving true democracy versus the totalitarian path the GOP seems bent on enforcing.

Oh, the Republicans have a rule all right, and that is that money rules....

"Republicans on the Federal Election Commission want to make it more difficult for the Justice Department to prosecute campaign finance violations."

Bunch of crooked, criminal, corporate lackies. Truly disgusting and totally anti-Americans.

Making it harder to police cheating and misbehavior in election processes is exactly the same thing as inviting cheating and misbehavior.

Because the republicans' tactics have been so divisive and nefarious they will be more distrusted than ever.

The republicans used to call themselves the "law and order party." It's a good thing that they no longer make that claim since there is little lawful or orderly about their mode of doing business or their politics.

The rotten tactics of the republicans on the FEC demonstrates that the irony would be lost on them.

When your party sees it future lies in its ability to thwart election law, deny minority voters access and control redistricting... then you should know your party ceases to be an American party and is not different than a foreign nation trying to control our government.

If their terms have expired the commission should be officially dissolved until a new group of commissioners are appointed. This group of commissioners should have no standing. Any vote taken to approve the manual or any other commission business should be void. Should it occur, this ought to be challenged in court.

We can really say the Repubs are no longer lying. They don't seem to feel that they need to hide their intentions of being able to do whatever they want, whenever they want.
11:48 AM on 07/09/2013
And they think they'll win the Presidency in 2016.

Some really do believe that, but until they come up with a more moderate candidate there is no way they can win the General. And there is no way a moderate can win the Primary.

The GOP should just change their party's name to CTW (Cheat To Win)...it's all they've got and how they operate.

What's most upsetting is that they don't see cheating as failure, but as achievement.
