Obamacare lowered health insurance costs 50% in NY. I guess the GOP/Tea Party thinks that money should stay with the insurance company’s profit and big business’ profit margins instead of me. And as an example of how the tea party voters vote against their own best interests “…Southern states tend to have higher rates of smoking, obesity, diabetes, heart disease, and a range of other illnesses. They also have problems that affect health, like less education and more poverty…” yet they don’t want Obamacare.

Another GOTP pollution... They are running out of idea on way to stop Obamacare...so instead they've become more stupider.

medical equipment companies are shipping the jobs off shore to avoid the obamacare taxes...
Lot of ways to end run Obamacare..
Pay the IRS fine until you are in medical peril..buy the premium from the Insurance company at the mandated obamacare price, get cured, cancel the policy and go back to the smaller fine..

You know, they say... Its best to burn old grass and allow new grass to grow. Its good for the soil.  The concept would be allowing greedy and cheap medical business to ship out somewhere for all we care, and allow the new honest medical business that accept Obamacare mandatory to grow on our soil. Its best for American.

Oh so they will just do what they've been doing. Hire a staff of part time workers, get the same work done, pay 0 overtimes, and have them all desperate and vying for extra hours that will never reach 30 hours, and still avoid paying them insurance :D

Unease around Obamacare appears to be increasing among small business owners, according to a recent survey from the U.S. Chamber of Commerce.....

Another wing of the GOP...more about politics than business now days

Well, gee, this wasn't supposed to happen.

These employers can cut all of their employees to p/t and hire twice as many which will make Obama very happy about new job creation.

Remember, figures don't lie but liars figure.

Complete bull.

Hiring and firing is driven 100% by demand. If your business is unable to handle the marginal (and tax deductible) cost of health care, your business is failing anyway.

every business is different. Any business that is employee heavy is penalized. More automated businesses have an advantage. Less job producing businesses have a distinct advantage. Hmmm...

Not such a good trend for O-Care.

It is a real shame that people have been so brainwashed as to consider providing health care to their employees being "penalized".

I guess you don't realize that not only are health care costs above the line deductions, but small businesses that currently supply health care are getting a very nice additional TAX CREDIT to do so.

Not true anymore, employee head count is determined by the CEO's demand for more compensation and bonus.
Just make fewer people work harder for less $.
This is the new normal.

Anytime you pass a law that is unfavorable to someone you better make sure it is locked up tight. It is human instinct to get out of any unfavorable situation.
06:14 PM on 07/18/2013
Lock up tight? Would have been nice if the started by reading it? I especially like the part we there is now a tax on the sale of some houses to fund healthcare. That should probably benefit the housing market.

Thanks for reading, (even if you disagree)

Which explains Obamacare perfectly. It was not locked up tight, it is a cobblejob that no one has a clue how to interpret. Plus Obama was in an unfavorable position in Congress so he bailed and compromised on his pledge not to sign a bill that didn't include a single payer option.

Yup, excellent critique.

Chamber of Commerce you lose. Find something else to complain about. You will represent small businesses when hell freezes over. You are for the big boys. You only invoke small business when you want to kill some gov regulation or keep something from becoming law.
