Probably another self defense case. The guy was probably afraid for his life.

Participating in illegal activity removes self defense defenses.

Where did he get the weapon?
07:22 AM on 07/27/2013
According to the story he went to the house to collect $10,000 from the men there and one of them pulled the gun on him; then he knocked the gun out of his hand and used it in the murders.

Thank you NRA? Once again the NRA are blamed for another shooting, I guarantee you the individual is not an NRA member. It is hard to believe that so many of us are naïve, the NRA is not the blame for the shooting around the country. Criminals do purchase weapon in the back alley of any streets in the US, you don’t need a permit to purchase illegal weapons anywhere in the world. All you need to know is where the criminals are selling illegal weapons are located at, so let’s stop blaming NRA for all the illegal death in the USA, they are only an organization in teaching weapons safety and how to secure your weapons from young children among other things. I am not a member of the NRA, not because I don’t want to, but because I never had a reason to. But I do get tired when people continue blaming the NRA for all the accidental discharge of a weapon, or play criminal behavior in the USA.

I have never seen anyone blame the pharmaceutical companies for drug related death, in the US, regardless of who overdose and die or manufacture the drugs out of somebody’s house.
No one blames the alcohol companies when a drunk drivers cause an accident with death? We call it a vehicle homicide, what about the alcohol, the blame the companies.

True but doctors are the new drug dealers and are very responsible for the rise in pharmaceutical related deaths. As far as gun control goes, someone that should have been a responsible gun owner let these guns get into the wrong hands.
10:07 PM on 07/26/2013
Doctors are responsible? Actually drug seekers are responsible for themselves. All the MDs I've worked with do not hand out narcotics routinely. There are very few unscrupulous doctors who do. In Florida every narcotic written is on encrypted pads and carefully monitored so patients can't doctor shop.

If someone breaks into your home and steals an axe or a big knife, and then sells it to someone who uses it to kill, ARE YOU RESPONSIBLE FOR THAT DEATH ?

We have way too many gun laws now. Enforce half of the ones we already have and that would be more prevent the preventable shootings.

The utopia you are trying to create will never exist until Jesus comes back.

OR:
He 'borrowed' it from someone--family, friend, etc., with or without permission.
In which case, the actual owner isn't as responsible as she or he may think.
If I have a gun, and I am not responsible enough to know where it is 24/7, and know for certain that I am the only one that has access to it, I am responsible for what happens, next.
Just saying...

I didn't read anywhere in this article where the shooter was a card carrying NRA member. Just another drug dealing gangster type.

It's West BY GOD Virginia, and you better smile when you say that.

Much better off here than in one of your inner cities.

That it's so easy to kill people in this country..... just because they can. Just whip out a gun and shoot.

Someone looks at another person the wrong way....what ever that is.

Road rage.

Walking home from buying candy and ice tea.

Todays news in my area: a case solved after three years. Two meth dealers in a pickup driving a rural highway at 3am, opened the passenger door at 60 mph and knocked a pedestrian into the ditch. Then went back and killed him with a pipe. For fun. Victim was 17. They were 20 and 22 or so at the time. They both have criminal histories, and one was already in jail when arrested for this.

I've witnessed things like this. Twice, years apart had someone in a truck try to run me down while bicycling. Both times crossing the center line. One caused me to make a controlled fall onto a curb where they couldn't hit me. Yelled out as they went by "Almost got you! Next time!"

How sad that the killer obviously didn't want any witnesses and killed the father and son who were delivering the paper. That breaks my heart and my thoughts and prayers are with their families. My thoughts and prayers are also with the other two people that were killed families as they may or may not have known their loved ones were into drugs as the article stated it was a drug deal gone bad and even though their actions caused there deaths its still a sad thing to happen.
