Common sense is not common these days

Not really news, but sadly common knowledge among many people. I am very sorry Ms. Mostov but it happens to young women each and every day on campus throughout the country. That doesn't make what happened to you any less painful or wrong. I hope you are able to get some help from profressionals or your family and do not let this define you as a person but rather helps to make you stronger.

I KNEW there was a reason they call themselves "The Trojans"! It is a recruiting device to attract rapists and deviants! I wonder if they pass them out on Friday afternoons before the drinking begins? Shameful - makes one wonder if it is worth it to send a daughter off to school at any residential college these days? We become more like India every day with respect to crimes against our wives and children!

Unreal and yet not that surprising. USC is a big school and makes a lot of money. Image translates into money; damage the image and you choke the money flow.

"When the report was located later, it listed the crime as "injury response," rather than rape or sexual assault, according to a copy provided to The Huffington Post. Mostov said the campus police later told her the crime wasn't rape because the assailant didn't orgasm."

Backasswards.

Gotta protect those sports teams and the money they bring in. Also makes it look like a low crime college for women. As restitution for the false reporting, all rape victims get every bit of their tuition returned in front of the entire student body by the college dean and the rest of their tuition is paid by the sports money that came in.

Yep, and the NCAA wants to advocate for paying those "student(?)-athletes" a salary on top of it all!

I like that idea. This failure to protect these victims is a crime.

It is so sad and really bad that the Universities do not take sexual violence perpetrated on their students seriously. They always seem to side with the agressor and blame the victim and pretend that it never happened.

Same thing happens with murder rates in big cities.

This is a wide spread problem...sheriff and police officers have been and continue to (mis)report, (mis)represent actual crimes commited all the time that's why under-served or under-represented areas are reported as high crime areas, but in reality high crime is everywhere it's just reported differently in the suburbs.
