Invitations to play games even after I've blocked the games, blocked the poster, and posted to my wall that I don't play games.

They've made it so hard to block apps now. Arrrg.

I play Candy Crush. Don't start. It's a horrible addiction. :( I need help...but only after I finish this level...

Just ignore it. No one is trying to torture you. Check your news feed preferences...
04:11 PM on 08/22/2013
Do people annoy you on Facebook?

no. i don't take it that serious
04:09 PM on 08/22/2013
I hate the vague "Prayers needed" or "Having a tough time". So, you want me to be worried about you, but you don't want me to know why?
04:34 PM on 08/22/2013
That, and "99% won't re-post this...will YOU?" Umm, no I won't, because passive aggressive internet guilt trips don't really move me.

It's been real.Real what, we're not saying...
06:21 PM on 08/22/2013
One of my FB friends did that on behalf of an unnamed friend who "needed prayers", but she would not say why. When I asked about a week later how her friend was doing, my FB friend never responded. What a crock !

It takes all kinds to make the world go around. We should be more open to realizing that everyone is different. I say learn to appreciate diversity in all things, especially people, or learn to use privacy filters and available technology to block those who offend you.

I would add those who share only political news and social activism but nothing of their personal life. My Facebook homepage is more and more a newspaper, while I want to know what my friends are doing.

I wish I had more friends who shared political news and social activism. All my friends talk about is going out and looking hot. Can we exchange friends?
07:21 PM on 08/22/2013
uh! Well, I would also exchange homeland... The grass is always greener on the other side!

You and me both. My friends can post some of the most unimportant mundane things about themselves. I'd much rather have discussions on world events then to talk about someone's lunch.

I hate it when people are having a bad day and they post about All. Day. Long. Seriously? Come on people you are in a bad mood, you are PMSing get over it.

ugh, agreed....and those endless, sappy inspirational quotes. It's like watching reruns of Kung Fu!
And your constant illnesses, i don't need to hear about your anxiety attacks, zits, PMS, gastro, muffin top, eyebrow wrinkles....all designed to get reassurance.
My news feed is shrinking daily!

There ought to be a FB law about husbands and wives posting back and forth to each other when you know they are five feet away from the person in another room. They constantly want to let everyone know how much in love they are, "what a wonderful wife/husband I have" etc. Please. Have some dignity. No one cares or needs to know the level of your commitment to each other.

Facebook should be for what you want it to be. If you don't like it, you can always unfriend them or hide their posts. It's strange that people advocate that people change who they are in order to make us more comfortable rather than us becoming more tolerant or able to look passed things people do on Facebook.
05:30 PM on 08/22/2013
Exactly. There are defintely posts and posters that I find annoying, but I just block them from my news feed. And I am sure there are some people who don‘t want to look at mine either. But it is a public place, it is free, people can post what they want, and we have the ability to unfriend or block from homepage etc, so it really shouldn‘t be a huge deal. Some of the points in the article though were pretty funny. Because I have definitely had very annoying posters who like to constantly do more than one of those things.... But then it‘s like,oh I don‘t want to read those? Ok let me just block from homepage.... problem solved!
05:32 PM on 08/22/2013
Plus once in a while, the behaviour in the article, isnèt even annoying, anyway. I think it depends on context.
03:43 PM on 08/22/2013
Oh, and another two annoying Facebookers: The Joke Thief and The Broken Record.

The Joke Thief keeps reposting those boring pseudo-inspirational quotes or jokes that were clearly written by someone else, and yet expect to take some kind of credit for sharing it.

The Broken Record is a variant of the Joke Thief. This person posts the same gag every day, multiple times a day. Oh, look, another droll one-liner about how much you like coffee. Ok, you like coffee, I get it. You don't have to remind the whole world every day, it stopped being funny years ago.

How about the person that needs to prove to everyone else, that their relationship is working. (In spite of the B.S. we all know it is.) It's the pictures that say "Look Look he kissed me today!" or "We're grocery shopping together! We're having breakfast at home." or the posts, "He just called me pretty! He just paid the cable bill!" - Ummm duh! Seriously who stops a stranger EVERY PLACE THEY GO and asks them to take a picture? Just tacky and over the top in my opinion.

Oh, come on. An "elder" still taking the time to add "Love, Grandma" to the end of her post isn't misuse. It's endearing, and it gives me hope that not all of society has gone down the toilet.

You missed the most annoying of all: Facebook "friends" who LIKE every dang thing you post, often within seconds of posting it.
