There are several problems. Did Assad do it? We have waited too long and have no element of surprise left to get chemical weapons. The rebels are likely worse than Assad for our interests.

If the options for removing Assad from power come down to praying and fasting or dropping bombs I'm pretty sure the latter is more effective.

...but on the other side, it didn't say nothing.

Please define "farther".

Al Capone died a gibbering syphilitic;

We deposed Saddam following the same general plan being proposed by Obama on Syria, but then we went on to spend an additional 5 trillion dollars, and several thousand American lives. Things are great now in Iraq...right?

Farther?

Minarets are intended missiles pointed against the infidels, never forget. We should maybe build our own Christian mosques using ICBMs as minarets. In the mean time, I suggest you yourself go cruising aboard a cruise missile against Syria to state Assad your point of view, and leave our kids alone.

Good to know Assad has a friend in you. And what's a few thousand Sarin victims between friends?
Sleep well.

Complex situations call for complex alternatives.. The responses proposed by the faith based community are astute and prudent. The quagmire that was Iraq and the war hawks and neocons that led the way for our future involvement in the middle-east should be held accountable for that conflict and never given the power to create their new world order or a voice in this one. They will be guilty of preventing a rational plan for the middle-east to be developed. It's not to late, but time is running out for those who are at risk. Please use your voice so that our president has more options. Help him help himself. We can't sit back but this is one that world needs to stake a stand and show leadership,

Yet, perhaps like many who hear the cries of the Syrian People who are being brutalized, have been brutalized all along by Assad & his father before him ->perhaps this is their knee-jerk reaction from a humanitarian standpoint.

I get what some people are saying ->that bad things happen when good people turn a blind eye. We've watched over the last 2+ yrs as the conflict in Syria has escalated. Look over at Turkey, who are grappling with the intrusion of Muslim fundies into their halls of govt. What sort of power-void will we create if we just bomb away, with no end-game plan in place? Look over at what's happened in Egypt & Libya.

We have created or helped to create more messes in the Middle East by supporting unpopular dictators who've enriched themselves & their families -at the expense of their peoples- for decades. Now we want to instill democracy in places where, into the power-voids step religious fundamentalists who now make war with the govts AND their peoples. What are we doing there?

Just because Assad may have changed his weapons of choice doesn't mean we NOW have justification for creating more problems than already exist. We should seek worldwide consensus. The Muslim nations need to get with a program -ANY program, besides just ramrodding their religious beliefs down their peoples' throats.
