Most people here must not have been around when Jordan was playing. There is no comparison to him and anyone today. Jordan pulled off so many last minute game winning shots while being double teamed. He was a work of art the way he moved on the court. And while he played, he didn't come off as arrogant, he always gave his teammates praise. He was a class act.

Are you suggesting he should shut up and go away ? Why ? He will always be a part of the game and has every right to comment on ANY aspect of basketball or for that matter, ANYTHING !
12:49 PM on 10/02/2013
He has every right to comment on the game or ANYTHING he wants as you're vehemently defending.  It would be nice if every time he did, it was actually about the game and not about him.

Because Jordan called the media to make his point, right?
C'mon, man.

I agree with MJ. Lebron hasn't won anything without his supporting cast(see Cleveland). Jordan in his prime one on one would school the so called king. I think Larry and Magic would do the same as well. Lebron has to much hype.

I guess you have not watched as many LeBron games to understand that he is the Heat, he is unselfish (unlike Jordan) and knows exactly how to use his team to win games. Also, he is bigger, faster and can make as many spectacular moves as Jordan, so move over Michael, your time has come and past.

At golf? Surely not at basketball.

Can he beat him in baseball?

Did everyone forget about the team MJ played with? Or the coach that turned a losing team around. Without that team, MJ would be Charles Barley, Patrick Irving, Allen Iverson and etc. Basketball is a team game and one person doesn't win championships. MJ needs to deal with his ego!

It's a good thing he decided to play BB instead of golf. We'd have to hear how much better he was than Bobby Jones, Hogan, Nicklaus, and Tiger to name a few. Do us all a favor Michael and be appreciative of your sneaker line and let the world continue on without you chiming in every time you need your ego stroked. Let me remember you as the great player you were and leave the comparisons up for debate. What's next, MJ claming to be better than Willie Mays had he chosen Baseball. Unfortunately, Jordan's become boorish.

It would be close. While Jordan is quicker to the hoop and a better outside shooter, LeBron is physically bigger and stronger, and could post up the smaller Jordan down low. Could go either way but I think Jordan would be the betting favorite so I'd put my money on LeBron for a better value.

That's like comparing Babe Ruth to Hank Aaron, each one Hammering Hank and the Babe were each the best in their day and so much changed over the years you cannot make an intelligent comparison except to say they were both the best in their day and time period.

Thank you. This egotistical alcoholic-looking thing needs to just shut up and sit down.

your wrong, in a one on one comparison nothing has changed.
you put the ball in the hoop and the other guy tries to stop you.
thats all there is to it.
from your comment , i would bet you never played basketball

Earned what? I'm confused. It's never a good thing to constantly toot your own horn. This man really seems to think he should hold some type of title until the day he dies. If he weren't so arrogant, more people would think he were smarter and probably give him more props. But it seems the only thing he is, was good at was bouncing a ball.

That would be a heck of a match but I think that James' physical toughness might give him the edge.

Michael Jordan is a hyper competitive man. He takes offense towards anyone who was deemed as competition. He despised Magic at one point until he realized Magic wasn't trying to take anything from him and they became good friends. No one will ever know the truth of what he says b/c they competed in separate generations.

You do? YOU saw the headline, knew what it was about and clicked the story on. YOU do that on all articles YOU don't care about? People compare things from different generations as to being better. Why? Because people are interested in the general topic that the comparison is about. NBA? Internationally popular. I once saw an interview with 6 or 7 Algerian rebels, living in the mountains fighting the government. They all wore Jordan Bulls' shirts. The colors did not blend in with their surroundings. Very odd.

Really! Why does it even matter? He must need an ego stroke.
10:21 AM on 10/02/2013
As far as skills go, who knows. ........Jordan's MENTAL Toughness beats LeBron EVERY time - when the game is on the line, Jordan wins it for the Bulls. ......When the game is on the line for the Heat............... it's RAY ALLEN !
10:41 AM on 10/02/2013
Wrong, it would have been impossible for the Heat to have won either time without LBJ. Despite Jordan's exploits, it took eight or nine years for his first ring! It's a team game and always will be, mental toughness or not.
