Progressive but not a Democrat.

TK surely knows how to push back and will not allow the program to look like an infomercial.

I approve of this.

I was so afraid we'd get Tapper.

I'd take Ross as well - but he does do some decent investigative journalism.

Now THAT could bring me back to Sunday morning political shows!

The game of liberal journalist musical chairs just keeps rolling. Shuffle libs all around.

Better shuffling than gridlock.

Are you saying this because Charlie Gibson retired? Or are you saying this because of Tim Russert's departure? Once a chair is empty, it has to be filled. Maybe some of the choices aren't as good as the one that was in the chair, but they have to be filled.

Well yes, there are two examples of liberal "journalists."

My point was, it's always some lib on the MSM net news. One leaves, another comes in.

And the nets just keep on hemorrhaging viewers...

This brings to mind, Jamie Foxx starring as 'Tyrone Koppel' from the Jamie Foxx show.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZOo0EgHSQog&feature=related

But on the serious note, I'd definitely watch Mr. Koppel/This Week far more than MTP.

pending why?
10:58 AM on 01/07/2010
I think he would decimate 'MTP'
11:42 AM on 01/07/2010
Fanned,Conjure Man!
And that's the second best reason to hire Ted Koppel for the job. The first is that knows his stuff AND doesn't suffer fools. That should greatly reduce the appearances of old, tired white GOP male guests that are fixtures on MTP ,Face the Nation and Fox News Sunday. Ted will not allow them to spew their spin, lies and BS unchallenged;they wouldn't know how to act!!!

Yes,this would definitely make me tune in on Sundays again!
10:57 AM on 01/07/2010
If this week is replaced with Koppel...MTP is dead meat....Koppel will put Gregory to shame!!!
10:57 AM on 01/07/2010
It will please the 28 or so libs that watch ABC

Koppel is a good choice for that role. He is intelligent, articulate, well-informed and has the courage to ask the tough questions that get to the "meat" of an issue. Gavitras comes to mind. Beats Tapper and Moran hands down.

bringing back Koppel makes me a viewer. he'd easily be the best of the major network's guys.
10:08 AM on 01/07/2010
Yes! Best choice ever. NBC should have got him for MTP. I would definitely watch an excellent
interviewer like him!!
