A slight misstatement? Might "So he decided to take market rate pay for doing the same job openly." be more appropriate?

And the moral of the story is: The story doesn't involve morals.

Antiquated concept, morals. As are ethics. And patriotism. And honor.

All passé, in D.C. And in "Business-with-a-capital-B".

I'm losing my ability to say that crime is bad; it may, in fact, be the only avenue left to the American people when they seek justice.

lollll...why would they want to invade? We've already dirtied this planet to a large extent. In all the universe, there has to be more pristine worlds - worlds either vacant, or populated with sentient beings unburdened by the venality we have here.

Although if they take hitchhikers, I'm leaving. I want to talk to Doug Adams, anyway.

It's getting so wierd here.
The people we pay to regulate corporations so they won't destroy the nation with their unmitigated greed use their knowledge of our government's plans to further enable corporations to destroy our nation with their unmitigated greed. Which apparently is the sole motivation of Mr. Demon Munch-us. It's what Goldman Sachs characterizes as "public service". Spying. It is what is destroying the USA from within. Nothing new really. The Who said it at the end of their halftime show at the Superbowl this year: Meet the new boss. Same as the old boss. Enjoy the music anyway - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LjA_RtsBfAo&feature=PlayList&p=C3CBF78C043CD58B&index=5

This is SOP for anyone on the inside who wants to improve their future prospects. It happens continuously, and that's no secret to anyone who pays attention. There are former members, not only of Congessional staffs (which is profligate), but also Congressmen themselves who turn their access to power into personal fortune. This is how a Plutocracy is built, by infesting all of government and industry with powerful, knowledgable individuals. This is greed. This is immorality, and this is the way the system worked in the Soviet Union when the plutarchs (known as apparachiks) ruled. This is what destroyed a culture. This is what will ultimately destroy America. Until, and unless, we are able to elect moral, ethical individuals who actually care enough about the greatness of America that they will eschew fortune for good governance, this country will continue its negative trajectory until our society dies.

I think the problem is not so much the corruptPeople that are elected, than the system thatForces them to resort to liesAndCorruption to win elections.

The thing is, for a system to exist, there needs to be people to set it up. The rules of the game in DC just don't come out of nowhere.

Now Cypress has four US former Treasury Secretaries on their team,
Washington fairy dust tossed on Bank Exec's silk duvet cover of dreams
wonder boys whispering in their fat pork ears,
political secrets on how to beat the system in all gears
Obama, the adept attorney, consented to the employment plan
this after declaring to his people, being their Superman
his employment agreements with loopholes and dominos
constructed of attorney political insight and silly string
preventing former employers from lobbying the "administration", with good reason
left "Congress" wide open like sitting ducks in duck hunting season ,
for lobbying "Congress" just happened to be conveniently omitted
so now lobbying to this group is definitely permitted

In the quest to give the common man yet another screw
Munchus will now schmooze and pay off the Congress crew
Wallstreet better get the tickets for an on all expense Alaskan Cruise
do us all a favor, take the deadbeat Congress and Pelosi too
all in our prayers.... to get lost along with you..

Another fine example of why there is so much distrust of Washington.
It's all about "me" and the money.
Can we at least have a change in the agreements that these government trough-feeders sign so they can't find loopholes to take knowlege we paid them to have access to, and sell it to the highest bidder?
The stench gets stronger....and to think that I voted for change.
