“Stop throwing the Constitution in my face,” Bush screamed back. “It’s just a g0dd@mned piece of paper!”

I wonder if the U.S. S.C. receives PAC money or other outside funding?

It could be in a direct or very indirect form...

It seems that everyone else in Wash DC does.

He can only be removed by," illness, death or impropiety". I think he could be removed as Chief Justice though.

Roberts and Alito should be removed. That decision was definitely improper.

DEMOCRATS SEIZE THE MOMENT. Introduce a Constitutional Amendment that states that corporations and other artificial legal entities are not persons for the purpose of the Bill of Rights. There would be overwhelming support -- left and right -- for such an Amendment. Justice Roberts and the 4 Bush cronies have handed the Dems a golden ticket; cash in the ticket. What politician could survive fighting against such a simple and straight forward Amendment.

"If the American people ever allow private banks to control the issue of currency, first by inflation, then by deflation, the banks and corporations that will grow up around them will deprive the people of all property until their children wake up homeless on the continent their fathers conquered." Thomas Jefferson

"I hope we shall crush in its birth the aristocracy of our moneyed corporations, which dare already to challenge our government to a trial of strength and bid defiance to the laws of our country." - Thomas Jefferson, 1812

Who around Roberts are getting rich? And where is the money coming from?

I would NEVER speak with Roberts either, he is a bagger.
02:09 AM on 03/12/2010
Et alors? Not that Roberts isn't a total (bleep)head, but maybe the two just didn't have anything to say to each other. They ARE in two totally separate branches of government after all.

Sam must not have had anything better to write about. This will probably be blocked, but come on Sam, this is a non-news story, and I thought you were a hard news guy. Why should President Obama speak with John Roberts. He does not owe him an apology. John Roberts owes the America people an apology for their decision.

Most Americans knew from the day of Robert's appointment that there was something fishy about it! No doubt he was appointed to be Chief Justice because his predecessor had been, but Roberts had the look of a 'ringer' from the start. He's been appointed chief so he'll be able to control the court's schedule and agenda, but beyond that he's become the barometer for the court. He's a dangerous man and is most decidedly a corporate shill. IMHO, that is....
