Why can't all sides be wrong?
05:13 PM on 05/16/2010
[part 3 of 4]

Economically the very precepts of capitalism lend themselves to more from less, which means more profit and less employees, not to mention products made as cheaply as possible. Meanwhile, our basic political structure encourages bureaucracy, or high levels of employment—both direct and by public contract—resulting in inefficient use of public monies, and therefore ever increasing public debt. Meanwhile, our social structure captures the public between the two, constantly stating you can be rich also, but don’t get there through dishonesty. Pay your taxes faithfully, but blindly accept your elected officials are doing their very best to make your money work for you. Support our democracy by voting; just don’t think to hard about politics in general, that’s what your political representatives are for.

[part 2 of 4]

Yeah, I believe in freedom; and rule of law; and fair play; and equal treatment under the law. But I don’t see what having to give only “yes” or “no” responses for my whole life has to do with any of that. If I’m going to live in a “them” or “us” society, then at least I’m going to decide whom them and us are.

For me, “them” is everyone who feeds off the efforts of honest, hardworking Americans, excluding those who would be honest and hard working if they could find employment. Yes, we have an illegal immigration problem, but we created that situation by looking for the latest influx of desperate people willing to undercut the labor costs of the last group of desperate immigrants who have now assimilated fully into the idea of their civil rights. The problem is, we have no room left to grow into, so every source of population increase is a problem. The problem isn’t advances in civil rights have almost done away with abuses of immigrants.

Okay, ‘anniebuddy,’ here it is:

It's my view that it's not left versus right, rather The People versus political abuse and crime. I'm only a registered democrat because I figure that's somewhat the lesser of two evils--if we're going to go broke regardless of which party is in power, let's go broke on liberal/domestic programs rather than conservative/more imperialistic programs.

Your very willingness to accept one side as better than the other only serves their purpose, as the term "divide and conquer” doesn’t have just a military origin. I urge you to step back a moment, then look not at the differences between the two parties, but their similarities; such as maintaining a monopoly on political control of the country by teaming up against any tertiary party that may offer a candidate.

Yes we vote, but for whom? Well, for the candidates the two parties offer, that’s who. The Democrats and Republicans care who wins only because they’re in competition against each other for control of our money, which they use to support their agendas, not ours. As long as they control who can runs for office, they control our power to vote. Do you think it’s a coincidence so many people are disillusioned by the American political process?

“Do you want strawberry or grape jelly on your peanut butter sandwich today? What do you mean you’re tired of peanut butter—aren’t you a good American who supports his country and believes in freedom?”

All of you are welcome to be Arizonans now--- you are welcome to be among the many of us in Phoenix and across this state, who are ashamed and appalled by SB1070 and the divisive nonsense spawned by Brewer and our equally "provincial" (figurative and literal definition) Legislature for the petty reason of trying to distract locals from their abysmal record of mismanagement.

Just like when John McCain declared, "We are all Georgians now" and we said b.ull shite--the same goes for that "We are all Arizonans now" b.ull shi.te. It was bull then and it is bull now.

So let me get this straight. When women in the Democratic Party bash Palin for everything she does they are all okay with it. Yet when Palin targets the same group of women who bashed her, they start crying "Us girls gotta stick together."
This is just proof that Republican women are a heck of a lot more qualified to serve in Congress the the weak spined Democratic women.

Name some effective women currently serving as Republicans in Congress. I can think of maybe 3. Democrats, on the others hand, have dozens of effective female leaders in Congress. Governors? Even the Republican party itself decries the lack of women in elected leadership roles around the country.
Democrats are way out in front on this one.

Yeah, but is Palin really a woman??? I was thinking...Alien, for sure. Alien, as in 'the space ship Theocratica' kind of Alien, launched from the spoiled planet known collectively throughout the Universe as Planet OilGoo, some 300 million light years away from Earth -- right where most of us would like to see her off to.

Not your run of the mill, newly oppressed by AZ law, type of alien.

Sister Sledgehammer is a darling of Fox News. Fox News Corporation's largest shareholder is Prince Alwaleed bin Talal a Saudi oil tycoon. Therefore, Sarah Palin and all conservative right wingers are working for a Saudi oil tycoon. Go ahead! Follow Sarah Palin! Go ahead! Help Palin and Fox News in their palin' around with this Saudi oil tycoon. Help Palin, Fox News and Prince Alwaleed bin Talal establish their regime in America.

Wow! over 2,600 comments on this non-story, sourced from Politico, the stenography machine? What is the serious issue here, sex appeal? This might help: http://www.celebrity-gossip.net/celebrity_gallery/image_full/226429

Serious issue? Mayybe it's because she's a former governor who fought corruption in Alaska...regardless of party affiliation, a lot of those guys went to jail for corruption. At a time when all of America is outraged by the blatant corruption in Washington, people would like to see some of those guys, regardless of party affiliation, be led out of Washington DC in handcuffs. Are we yearning for someone with experience in slaying the corrupt pols who've taken over?

I think what you mean is she sold our her cronies because they weren't kicking her down a big enough slice of the corruption pie, and she wanted it all for herself. Sarah Palin IS a corrupt politicians. Just because she is walking proof that there is no honor amongst thieves does not a crusader against corruption.

I am surprised Sarah endorsed someone who was not raised a Xtian .. didn't think she was that open minded .... maybe her witch doctor did that?

But ... Nikki can't get around the fact that she's pallin' around with Palin ...... who works for FOX where the CEO Rupert Murdoch (Australian born, married to a woman raised in Communist China) and the largest shareholder in Fox's parent company, News Corp, is Prince Alwaleed bin Talal a Saudi oil tycoon. ???

I'm just sayin .......”

Why not simply ignore this person and not give her any more press. Press coverage is her lifeline to dollars, and, after all, she's not saying anything worth repeating. She's intentionally coming up with this ridiculous stuff just so she can get press and continue to get paid. Stop falling for it!

Palin will eventually be viewed as a washed up oil slick and remnant of a failed ideology. She has been a failure throughout her entire career. Her wealth has been a product of the corporate welfare state hiring stooges to shill for their greed-based oligarchy principles.
