I've worked in cosmetics for many moons and I can tell you she doesn't fit Lancome's french image at all. No amount of photo shopping will make her look the part.

She's a very pretty woman but she's no Lancome model.

No bio needed. My cuteness speaks for itself.

The original picture must of looked pretty crummy.

I now expect that any and all photos I see in magazines are photoshopped; I also disbelieve any and all claims in ads (free cable! No money down! Zero percent interest rate!).

It's all lies. Great job, Madison Avenue.

Why in the H would someone flag this as abusive?
01:20 PM on 06/18/2010
Yikes, abusive? Wow. Advertisers, maybe? Scary.

I've been to a few sites here at H P today and seen people have been flagged for the oddest reasons (or non reasons). It's like if someone doesn't like your view on something they flag you. Flagging is supposed to be used when someone has said something highly offensive - not just to one person but perceived offensive to many. The comments were nothing of the sort. The down side (or up, depends on your view) is that the flagger will be seen as crying 'wolf' too many times and their actions are noted by H P.

Well it's better than sticking a stocking or whatever they use over the lens, I got so sick of seeing Elizabeth Taylor in that white diamonds commercial, everytime it was over I couldn't trust my eyesight.

Where's the photo of Julia Roberts? I have no idea who that woman is in the ad.

I wonder how the war is going in Iraq following that attack on the bank.

Sure, we expect an idealized image in ads like this. . .but . . damn, she's been repaved.

So many things in this world simply don't make sense to me. We want special effects in our movies, but we don't want special effects when our movie stars pose on magazine covers. Did people think Sigourney Weaver might really have blue skin? Of course not. Did they think there were real bullets flying on the set of Avatar? Of course not. But they want to see the Navi and even more importantly they want to see guns shooting and things blowing up. Likewise, they want to see hawt, unblemished skin on their magazine covers. Well, that doesn't exist, so the special effects team comes in. And then it's like this conspiracy. Why do people care? If the end result is more appealing to the eyes, who cares if it's manufactured behind a computer screen? If it's not more appealing, then why bother with the magazine or celebrity culture at all? There are women on the street who look as hot and who are intellectually just as interesting as Julia Roberts. If her photo in an ad bothers me, I'll just stare at one of them (and hope she doesn't call the cops on me for stalking or something...)

It's an advertisement. Of course it's photoshopped. Who cares?

I like Julia Roberts. I do. But you are going to have these disasters as long as you continue to employ embalmers in the computer software business.

A beautiful, talented woman with a few tiny lines she's earned by living a life filled with the joys and tribulations of marriage and motherhood.....another words, a REAL woman, much like so many others out there, who want to be respected for their real selves, not the photo shopped versions.
