Wow! Our Neoconservatives must be reallly jealous; the Chinese and the Rooskies sure know how to take care of all those Liberals and progressive types

When the world's oldest democracy viciously crushes all opposition to corporate oligarchy, what do we expect fledgling democracies to react to opposition. Here in milwaukee some students protested budget cuts, and the police went crazy on them, including roughing up passers by and members of the press. Hundreds of teabaggers gathered armed a few day later and the cops went out of their way to be polite. If you wanted to protested anything on the left you have about as much right to protest in the U.S. as you have in China.

Are you serious - No Israel? Over 40 Human Rights Organizations are being denied and suppressed even murdered while Reporters Without Borders ranks this country #93 on its index. How bizarre.
10:21 AM on 07/04/2010
Why mention Israel and not 100 other countries with worse human-rights violations? How does one choose? Give me some standards that you're working with here so I can poke holes in your theory.
Both salubrious and lugubrious concurrently.

The 'American' era is over. The world's turning to China as a role model now. And not entirely consciously. Do you think Cheney/Bush *recognized* how closely their top-down unitary government model, their wholesale domestic spying schemes, and torturing of prisoners being held without charge *mirrored the Chinese model*? The didn't have a frickin' clue that by their actions they were turning their back on the American way.

It seems that the world is turning to China as a HUGE emerging market and source of investment, not as a model form of government. It reflects an adoption of "profit" for the few as the overidding value in human society, rather than the greatest good for the greatest number.

How's that One World Government thingy working out.

A little Council on Foreign Relations

A little Skull and Bones

A little Bilderberg Group

A little G20

Mix a couple of wars

Shake well

And you have it

I guess you think the Moon Landings were staged, right?

And I guess you think that Lee Harvey Oswald actually killed Jack Kennedy...
I guess you think that there was actually a little boy flying over the skies of Colorado in a homemade balloon last October...

From the HP article:
{Insert} "But we must be wary of the steel vise in which governments around the world are slowly crushing civil society and the human spirit," [Hillary Clinton] said. Social activists, Clinton said, are being harassed, censored, cut off from funding, arrested, prosecuted or killed. {End Insert}

In 2007, Hillary was a candidate for the Presidency, currying favor among the anti-war groups. She was silent with regard to the Pittsburgh G-20's US, where the organized, nonviolent protesters advocated the heinous and dangerous concept of ending war funding and bailouts, and using that money for health care, jobs, health care, education, housing and the environment.

Hillary was also silent on the use of nonlethal military LRAD technology against the obviously nonviolent, nonthreatening, unarmed protests, as shown in the video labelled 'Long Range Acoustic Device (LRAD) G20 Pittsburg' and others at at

I'm not stupid enough to fall for this kind of lip service to curry public favor, and I don't think Americans will.

The stench of Hypocrisy is overwhelming.

What is she smoking now. She should look in her own backyard and not her neighbours.

Sick of the plutocrats!

Who has been crushed in the US? You are still posting here aren't you?
05:09 AM on 07/04/2010
Do you enjoy your corporate/oligarchical masters and congressional enablers tyranny

Like this... "the Coast Guard today announced new rules keeping photographers and reporters and anyone else from coming within 65 feet of any response vessel or booms out on the water or on beaches -- 65 feet... Violators could face a fine of $40,000 and Class D felony charges."

Reported by MSM CNN a.o. 1st amendment suspension, freedom of the press suspension.

And can you tell me who benefits? Do you think the general public would rather be informed or not?
09:29 AM on 07/04/2010

Oh yes, a pot smoker...

How does she say such stuff and keep a straight face? Her and Bill, or Bama must laugh till they pee themselves at some point in reviewing their 'statesmanship'. Though she's not the sharpest knife in the drawer even she can't believe the crap she spouts. Deep down they're all shallow.

The fact is that they have been crushing them for years and have intensified the effort since Seattle. Democracy in the US is largely dead- replaced by an oligarchy. The place looks more and more like a banana republic every day.

One Senator from Alaska was appointed by her father. Senators from Indiana and Arkansas essentially inherited their father's seats. Once again in Chicago- a huge city- a Daily is running the show. Must be nice to know you can take over mom's or dad's political empire if you really want to and stupid American voters pull the lever just like buying a soda on a vending machine...

On top of all that put our militarized storm trooper police agencies and little d democracy stands little chance.

"Intolerant governments across the globe are "slowly crushing" activist and advocacy groups that play an essential role in the development of democracy"

Unfortunately, we are not immune from these trends.

American Reporters aren't even allowed to film the BP oil disaster in the Gulf without being threatened by the US Coast Guard! Its like living in China! The US should be on top of your sh** list Hillary!

Hillar Clinton talks about democracy struggle in the world but then forgets to put U.S, and Israel on the list. Why attend the conferance when you sound hypocrite? At least mention U.S for the war crimes for the current wars.

Israel and settlers STEAL video camera's from NGO's, etc., apparently
AFRAID of what they might the old Soviet Union..
So what do you need? Besides a miracle.
12:21 AM on 07/04/2010
Our government is doing that too. But in contrast to the others, we do it behind the cameras where nobody knows and nobody believes ore will ever talk to the victims. Stop acting as if we have a white vest. There's blood everywhere. Just dig a little bit deeper or better, listen what the UN has to say about us.
