This clown is the one who is out of touch. By the way, what makes this judge part of the liberal political elite? He was appointed by a Republican over the opposition of the Democrats. Oh right, I forgot about the GOP MO: if the facts don't fit your ideological narrative, then JUST LIE!!!

King is correct in his thinking that this will help the Republicans, at least in the short run. It motivates the repub. base b/c they can be angry at the "librul, activist judges (eventhough, Walker is not). With turnout being key to midterm elections, this ruling, three months before the election, comes at a bad time for Dems. Although King says he won't campaign on this issue, many others will, especially in the bible belt.

Oh gawd. Everything that goes against the Republican view is considered a conspiracy of some sort. What is wrong with these people? They can't win on their own abilities and beliefs so they blame it on some secret plan. One look at the rest of the country with both eyes wide open tells the rest of us that this type of repub is out of touch with America.

King is indicative of the conservative leanings of many parts of NY State.
Frightening is the fact that as a country, we always seem to go two steps forward, and three steps back.

Nothing can help the GOP at this point. It has already hit the iceberg and the first lifeboat has already left.

The reFUGLYkins are so far off the edge that they claim to see sunshine in a box of rotten fruit. Keep fooling the base boys, they're the only ones that believe you.

Keep chipping away at your base. Don't you realize the judge was Republican appointed (twice) who ruled against Prop 8?

And the judge that ruled against the immigration law in AZ, also a Republican appointed judge.

The more you try to stay "pure" the smaller you will become.

"As far as the gay marriage issue, I think it's going to subliminally help Republicans,"

because it fuels the fires of sexually-repressed conservative's fear of homosexuality, they are afraid they or their husbands or wives will catch THE GAY.

i think that repugs want their base to fear that if gays all allowed to marry that it will be open season on married heterosexuals.

it probably goes something like this: a gay man or women stakes out their local grocery store looking for a heterosexual spouse picking up a gallon of milk or a dozen eggs. once they have thier mark, bada bing bada boom!! they turn them gay!! and before you know it they have stolen away a heterosexual spouse and they are headed down the aisle.

in their little tiny brains this is a REAL possibility.

The Republicans sure are sticking to their guns, but, unfortunately for them, they're on the wrong side of the demographic divide. The US is irrevocably headed towards greater plurality and liberal social policy. They're digging themselves quite a grave.

I don't understand. The Judge is a hard fought Republican Nominee and the lead attorney for the Plaintiff is a Conservative Republican.... This helps them how?

Man, King COMPLETELY missed the point of the ruling, as it pertains to the Constitution. Minority suppression, via majority want.

Classic pandering, with purposeful ignorance in tow. What a combo.
