Sarah definitely does not speak for me either, but the "Don't speak for me folks" can deliver a better symbolism than the bear fur.

Although the message driving this ad is a good one and should be front and center, I fear the grizzly "costumes" take away from the seriousness of what they wish to accomplish. IMHO, I would have liked to see a varied parade of women from all walks of life rather than a scarce few dressed up a grizzlies. I think that would have made for a more powerful ad.

I agree. The bear costumes make it something to be lampooned rather than taken seriously.

as Abear, im pro choice. as a child or cub, pre rowvwade, my mother lost 3 freinds to back alley abortions, in just one year. abortions could be greatly reduced if peeps would let their kids know where babies come from, but i know its a secret. my name is Clint and im not a mormon.

Good way to turn the whole ridiculous (and demeaning) reference to women as "mama grizzlies" on its ear. Humor is a good way to diminish Paylin's ridiculous message. We are women. Not bears. Not tigresses. Not bunnies. Although somehow I suspect that $arah always fantasized about being a Playboy bunny (wink wink).

This seems more like a comedy skit than a commercial. I find it easier to take Palin seriously than this commercial. In my opinion, commericals like this do not help, and almost give credibility to the party in which they are trying to discredit. Momma Grizzlies, I don't think we need your kind of help, but thank you for trying.

The ad was bad. I understand the message they are trying to convey, and I agree with it, but this was a bad way of delivering it. It was low rent, bad comedy and detracted from the message that Sarah doesn't speak for real women. Emily's list, you can do better.

So what? Like all ads are tasteful? They were trying to mock the metaphor. Not everyone spends millions on the ads. They got their point across. Move on.

I never commented on the money they spent (Low rent means looks cheap, not the cost of something). The best way to convey a message is to stay on point and be focused. They tried to be both heartfelt and funny and ended up tripping over themselves trying to do so. They could have done either one really well if they had chosen to.

I understand that they were mocking Palin's quote. Thanks for trying to point it out. There were better ways to convey the message. They don't need to convice the people who agree with them and trying to get the people who are Palin followers won't work. So there is only 1 group of people they need to affect with this ad: Voters on the fence. This isn't the best way to appeal to them.

As opposed to Palin opening her mouth and having borderline illiterate and hateful English spew out?
