Rafa plus rest equals rout.

Fed was not on his game, but kudos to Djokovic who played his best ever.

Rafa in 3.

You said it. Rafa is going to buzzsaw some dreams tomorrow. In 3.

The match was fantastic and Novak won it fair and square. Federer did not give the match away. Novak simply went nuts at the end of the 5th set and extended himself to win. I really enjoyed watching the match - by far the best at the US Open this year so far.

Sadly the reign of Federer is coming to an end, But for those ready to crown Rafa or Nole as the next best remember, they've gotta get past Federer's 16 grand slam titles and who knows? He may even be able to eke out another 2.

But inevitably I see retirement on the horizon. I predict this time next year.

Federer has said he wants to win 20 majors. And he still looks fit and strong. Don't see him retiring any time soon. I think he'll just up his game again to try to regain his dominance.

Fed lost the match. As opposed to the other guy actually winning it. 70 unforced? Really?

Novak did put a lot of pressure on Fed to come up with better and better shots to win points. I would think that contributed to his many unforced errors.

"won"

The comment that led me to post the correction "won" evidently didn't pass muster with the !d!ot brigade. As if a post about a tennis match matters or would be offensive to someone. What tools.

Be nice, Roger has been a great ambassador to tennis, and he has set his name in records. I like Rafa and Nole too. Andre was one of my favs. Pete too.

That was one heck of a match Federer was so close too. I can't wait to See Nadal and Djokovic tomorrow even though some say it's a done deal for Nadal because Djokovic had a long game and isn't able to rest he is one heck of tennis player and (so is Nadal of course); that would be something if he ends up winning.

federers's backhand rocks.
11:00 PM on 09/11/2010
I love Federer's backhand. It gives Rafa so many games because Roger can't handle topspin shots on it so Rafa beats him almost every time. Great backhand Rog! Rafa and his fans love it too!
