With all the trouble in the world and all the problems our nation faces, is this really the most important thing to debate? Anyone who suggested Obama is not patriotic is a lunatic.

This how Bush-ClintonP-Bush-Clinton wins campaigns with the Lee Atwater - Karl Rove - Marc Penn school of campaign strategy and ethics. Hillary will do anything to win, except focus on the issues, take a stand and TELL THE TRUTH.

Yeah, you don't love America if you don't wear on of those made in China lapel flags, according to Handtitty...

Of course, Handtitty is a lying son of a bitch, but what the hey...

No goal, no objective, not until we have those things and a compelling case is made, then I say, back out of it, because innocent people are going to die for nothing. That's why I'm against it."-Sean Hannity, Fox News, 4/5/99

Explain to the mothers and fathers of American servicemen that may come home in body bags why their son or daughter have to give up their life?" -Sean Hannity, Fox News, 4/6/99

Oh boo hoo. Why waste a worry on every tiny symbolic gesture? What is this, a campaign or a religious service?

Is Obama mature enough to ignore these stupid things? Nobody believes he's not patriotic, that is nobody with a brain.

He's going to get a lot of crap thrown at him, and if he makes the nomination, he'll have to be really thick skinned to get through a tough campaign with all the swiftboaters on the republic side..

Just laugh, Obama, you can be the mature one in this.

all of you who are so upset about obama's supposed lack of patriotism should be more concerned about bush's complete disregard for the Constitution. how dare you question anyone's patriotism when you are so accepting of bush's criminality? you should be ashamed of yourselves and the republican party.

It's curious - and disheartening - how many people get all wrapped up in the trappings of patriotism and ignore the substance.

Aren't you supposed to face the flag when you say the Pledge of Allegiance? In this picture, they're all mooning it.

Funny how nobody looks like they are singing. I am a dem and could support Barrack. However, Barrack does seem to have some issues though. Taking off the lapell pin is a much louder statement than if he had left it on. I found that to be very unusual. Why would he do sucha thing during a presidential campaign? It's bewildering really. I must admit that I'm feeling less comfortable with him these days.

George Washington and Thomas Jefferson did not place their hands over their hearts during playing of The Star Spangled Banner, and never said the Pledge of Allegiance. They are still great Americans.

If the picture was taken during the pledge, wouldn't those in the photo be facing the flag?

: - ?

If not, the protocol must have changed.

So now we can pledge the flag with our ass.

Never Forget: Dick 'less' Cheney never served, cried like a bitch and was given 5 draft deferments.

clarification, please: was it the anthem being played or was it the pledge being given? Obama says it was the anthem but the other three in the photo are giving the pledge position.
