This is why I am withholding my vote for my Congressmen, Frank Kratovil of Maryland.

I don't know about Connely, but Kratovil voted with the rich/republicans on every issue, including this one.

The dems need to focus on which bluedog seats we will give back to the GOP, why not toss these guys to the wolves and focus on safe districts.

Sorry if my BS alert hurt anyone's ears. It goes off all by it's self when the bovine excrement flows, especially from a hypocritical republican like Connolly!

The people making over 250k will still spend what they want to. We're not talking about taking all their money away just 4%. Considering what they reaped in the Bush years that's peanuts.

The Bush tax cut helps their masters and the Jobless Aid bill helps the rest of America.

The republicans always side with thier masters. Fox News makes sure that they stay in office by brain washing half the country.

It is as simple as that.

My prediction, they will extend all of the Bush tax cuts as they believe it to be the safe political ground. The over 250K club has more money to spend on influence and seats at the table are expensive.

I’d like to know who Connolly’s “Many economists [who] say that if you raise taxes on the upper-income brackets, it will shave half a point off of GDP” are. I’ve read many opinions presented by economists, and not a single one presented this case. Any bets that whoever he’s referring to is either total myth or works for Heritage or Cato?

And if I have to hear the ridiculous argument about the “The top 5 percent income bracket in this country consumes 30 percent of the economy,” I think I might puke. The argument is entirely disingenuous. Sure, they do — they can afford it, and guess what? By definition they can afford it whether the tax cuts are extended or not. We are talking about the extreme ends of their marginal income, the money they tuck away, not what they spend — they still have that or they wouldn’t be in the tax bracket they’re in.

A ministerial panel headed by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Ehud Barak made a final decision Thursday to purchase 20 new F-35 fighter jets, despite opposition from a number of senior defense officials over the high cost of the deal.
Barak gave his go-ahead last month to purchase the jets in a deal valued at around $2.75 billion. The first planes are expected to arrive in 2015.
The Israel Air Force, however, will have to make do with considerably fewer planes than the 75 originally sought. The entire deal will be funded by American military.

What are we getting in exchange, Democrats?

Did you READ the article?
"The high cost of the F-35s made the deal controversial among Israeli defense officials, which is perhaps surprising inasmuch as the Israeli government won’t actually be paying a dime for the warplanes. Rather the entire cost will be covered by the US government in the form of military aid, meaning the US will be pasying Lockheed directly and delivering the warplnes to Israel for free."

actually rising taxes on the rich is good for the economy. tax cuts for the rich encourage hoarding. rising taxes on the rich encourages investment and good paying jobs.

in the 70s with high taxes we got intel, apple and microsoft. in the 80s with lower taxes nothing but a growing gap between the rich and poor. in the 90s when we raised taxes we got google, ebay, yahoo. in the 00 when we lowered taxes noting but lower pay for the middle class as the rich hoarded their money and stole from the middle class.

You can fool all the people some of the time. You can fool some of the people all of the time and those people are my audience.

The GOP explanation for extending Bush tax cuts for the wealthy totally contradict they're conservatives principles .The Republican claim to be deficit hawks but want to extent Bush tax cuts for the rich .They claim to be champions for small business but have block a bill that would have help small business create jobs .It is outrageous that the GOP is still fighting to give a 700 billion tax cut to 2% of the most wealthy in this country when these are the peoples who have seen their salaries grow over the years compared to working class American who salaries have been so stagnate that the poverty level have tank to a new low . I understand how the GOP manage getting their low information constituency to to fall for their deceitful ploy but i don't no why in the hell a Democrat, no matter how angry they are right now at their government would fall for the Republicans lies in Nov.
