Greed is pervasive and is a companion of Corruption, of course we have no Corruption here in the Land of the Free and the Home of the Brave where greed is rewarded and condoned.
I am just now getting the picture after decades of being lost in the forest.
I gotta get one of those suits and start looking for some leverage.
And I suppose I will have to allow my wife to do my Trading for me so I can claim there are no Corrupt Practices going on.

These are the same Democrat and the Republican members of the US congress and the US Senate during the past 40 years that created the "Free Trade" laws and other anti-business laws that economically caused US businesses to move their US factories and the associated jobs for US citizens overseas and lay off all of the US employees in order to take advantage of lower labor and environmental costs available in foreign countries.

This legislation was not in the interest of the citizens of the USA, so why did congress create these laws?

Most of the foreign manufacturers (and maybe most of the US importer/distribuitor/retailer's) paid lobbyists have probably spent hundreds of thousands of dollars on wine, food, women, song, corporate jobs for their (unemployable) children/wives/girlfriends/mistresses of the congressmen (and also their aids), vacations, cash, pre-paid sexual services, sexual affairs, and campaign contributions to entice (bribe) each of our elected congressmen (and also their congressional aids) to pass this "FREE TRADE" legislation that allowed/caused/required our all businesses to take advantage of the lower labor and environmental manufacturing costs available in foreign countries by eliminating the import tarrifs that existed before the 1970's.

We would appear to need a corruption task force to bring these practices to light and prosecute the individuals involved. Something like an independent prosecutor controlled by a board with a civilian group of elected board members.

Howard may feel that no one or group should be allowed to acquire enough money to buy and own government. The last time this was possible was the gilded age and post depression, it was cured. It took a long time to return.

Yes, true insofar as it goes.

They have more than enough to keep them whole. They go out of their way to game the system in their favor.

All many of us are saying is what is good the middle class is good for the upper class and the lower class. In other words, we are all in this together. Quit trying to rig the game for your benefit at the expense of your fellow citizens.

Full stop.

Many people see this as unusual behavior because if they did it would be illegal. But congress has exempted itself from the laws others are required to obey. This extends to their staffs and anyone working for them even in an unpaid capacity. When you can obtain the support of only 6 of your colleagues you see how difficult it is to change the culture of corruption on capitol hill.
