I am a petite Doberman. Not a wiener dog!

I gotta say that the 37212 zip code rocks for Halloween. Walkable, lots of kids who really work hard on costumes and parents who are famous musicians standing in your front yard while the kids trick or treat.

Ringing doors with a mask on in DC is more like to get you shot than candy.

How does walkability equate to good Trick of Treating? Most of these cities' residents live in apartment buildings which are locked from trespassers. Even within an apartment building, unless there are a lot of children and depending on the neighborhood, it may not be good to trick or treat within the building.

It's spelled "San Francisco." It's named after St. Francis.

Another epic FAIL for a HuffPo list. Walkability is not the issue in trick or treating. It's no good walking a neighborhood that is stingy on treats even if it is a most walkable neighborhood in a most walkable city.

I would be surprised if there are more than 1 or 2 neighborhoods in the country that can beat out East Capitol Street between 6th and 11th.

I remember as a kid one Halloween where I collected 40 pounds of candy going house to house.

Another kid at school claimed to collect 80 pounds of candy. He said he had 3 costumes and keep on going back to all of the good houses.

* * Note: that year Halloween was celebrated on both Saturday and Sunday !

bottom line... its about the candy... or rather the amount of candy.

My city is horrible for Trick or Treating. 5-7, that's it. We're trying to get people to leave their lights on for at least an extra hour.
