Your second paragraph told the real story. Democrats=herding cats. Dems need to learn to roll in the gutter and develop a take-no-prisoners attitude.

The republicans have their pit bulls and mastiffs.
What we need is a really good border collie.

We are hard-wired to make bad decisions. We do that when our emotions take control of our thoughts. It is the most primitive part of our brain, the limbic system, hard at work.

This election was more about how people felt than what made sense and this article demonstrates it. Sales people, the most successful of which are a majority Republican, use emotional tactics every day. Do most of us like salespeople? We buy things from them anyway don't we. How many things do we own that we don't need simply because we made that simple, stupid emotional decision?

If progressives want to succeed, they need to play the same games that the Republican sales people do. You can use emotions to drive people to make the right decisions as well. The hard part is finding a good Democratic salesperson to teach them the techniques.

So you admit to not liking salespeople, yet you want the democrats to field better salespeople?

We like the salespeople that we feel give us a good deal and treat us special. But we are weary of the others. In other words, we just like our sales people. I don't care for Real estate agents as a rule, I think that they are greedy and often dishonest. But I love my agent and think he is one of the most honest people I know. Compassionatedem has a point.
