Rick Perry is 180 lbs of crazy feces and is already running for prez. in 2012. That I believe was his announcement to run.

Let’s see . . . he’s a Mormon from a traditionally liberal state that has exactly the kind of healthcare Dems are trying to give everyone. Yeah, he’s toast. He might actually be electable, but he’ll never survive the primaries. Perry/Palin 2012 is more the bagger style.
11:17 AM on 11/10/2010
I do not invision ever seeing Palins name on the back side of a ticket ever again, she has tasted the top and will settle for nothing less. LOL Ask Todd.

No Republican would want to ask her, after all the "help" she gave John McCain.

Then there is the fact that as we see the Republican leadership dissing Michele Bachmann for being too out there in the ozone, just wait until 2012 when every Republican hopeful and his dawg will be doing remarks about her that will make what the posters on achpe say about her seem nice. She's taintedmeat, and everyone knows it.

romneycare will be a problem. . . only if it hasn't worked. the facts on the ground might actually bring in some independents in a general election, so someone like romney could win. but getting past the radicals on the right won't happen. romney isn't rabid enough. perry is clearly looking to run.

He can't run on the fact that it has worked, and run against Obamacare -- because that would be like endorsing something from the democratic side!  It's a conundrum!   I don't think he will make it passed the primary.  I believe that the majority of what's left of the republican party is the teaparty, and they won't be voting for anyone who is seen as part of the establishment.

This guy broke up so many companies and destroyed so many jobs,he would never win election!

Playing devil's advocate here, but what if he says that the problem with Obamacare is that it is something that should be left to the states and is not constitutional for the Federal government to mandate coverage? He wants everyone in his state to be covered, but does not want the federal government to have that sort of power.

Let's also keep in mind that, while HCR is the hot-button issue du jour, it may factor very little into the debate a year or more from now. Don't count Romney out... it's unlikely he will get the nomination, but consider how far behind McCain was at this point (remember when we were SURE it was going to be Clinton vs. Giuliani back in 2006?)

It will be his downfall, especially when Obama ties it to him by saying the basic fundamental foundation of what these jagoffs call 'ObamaCare' was TAKEN FROM the plan ROMNEY laid out in Massachusetts!!

How ironic!!

If the rest of the country had the same education level as Mass. then they would have had healthcare a long time ago.  Even with a GOP governor, the people expect quality and not excuses.

If the rest of the country had the same education level as Texas...then the USA would resemble Bolivia.

I think that depends on how bad the GOP base is to get the "black guy" out. It was definitely a problem for Romney in 2008. If the base chooses to ignore it in 2012, it will clearly show how desperate they are.

just like he needs to repudiate that $25 billion worth of debt Texas is in

Do you think it will be Romneycare as presented by the Insurance companies for only one out of five healthcare dollars, or might it be all the Americans Romney put out of work to amass his fortune?

Rick Perry is just dusting off his presidential ambitions. If you thought Tea Party was crazy, watch him in the coming months. He will make the Tea Party look smart.

He just wants to be another "dubya", badly. He will start off with calling everything as a "Ponzi Scheme" except Texas. He will say that the Union is a "Ponzi" Scheme. His logic is that tea party will ditch Sarah and flock to him. They way he grabbed Sarah Palin and shover her to the side during the governors conference long time ago tells me he isnt too fond of her.
