Anybody else sick of this bee ess nuclear brinkmanship? It;'s an industry all its own just to convince us to all be scared some mad man dictator is going to blow up the world.

Got news for you. For every madman dictator making those kinds of threats, there are a whole sh*tload of sane bankers financing him who aren't going to let that happen because they need populations who can make them rich thru taxation and the buildup of any given country's armed forces.

We are at mutually-assured-destruction levels, the people in charge all know that, and it would be a screwup of incredible magnitude to let a dictator push that button.

So go ahead, mad dictators. Make our day. If you push that button, in seconds all the bankers making huge profits from selling you the technologies and armaments that make you feel so megalomaniacal will be toast too. I doubt they'll stand for that. You'll be history and a new, slightly less looney mad dictator will be sitting on that warm little throne of yours.

I would love to have known the Corporate Names and Logos which appears on all that new and state-of-the-art equipment. I mean there is no doubts whatsoever that all of this new equipment was made outside of North Korea. Who made it and more importantly which Country was responsible for shipping it all into the DPRK. That is what I would like to know.

well, Ford made tank and truck parts for Germany during WW2, and apparently we don't seem to care about that

so I'm guessing they will try to keep it quiet to protect profits, but they are not too worried.

I do not defend NK at all, but then again, i dont know for fact what they are actually doing or what they are actually like. Ive never been there and I learned a long time ago that our media and government only tells us what they want us to believe. Propaganda in other words. Im sure NK is no Nirvana, but hey, neither is Compton. I think this only shows just how p*ss Poor out intel is and how unreliable it is. This is big news, not a little mistake. So now we have this, and no WMDs. So just what can we believe from our gov? Id say close to nothing these days.

At this point, considering all the nations that already have it......... and their behavior........  the only thing that really matters is what NK does to its neighbors.

As long as it doesn't start any wars or attack its neighbors, it will keep on a higher moral ground than us and a few other countries.

Oooooo. I like that concept.. all these years we have been trying to get everyone else to play nice with Israel, and here its as simple as getting Israel to play nice with everyone else.
It makes to much common sense though and will never fly. That, and those who make billions off this wont allow it.

OK, since when did liberals believe that threatening countries with nuclear annihilation of their civilian populations is a wise foreign policy? Maybe I didn't get the memo. Just to make sure I understand -- murdering people by the hundreds of thousands in Japan was bad, but murdering people by the hundreds of thousands in Israel is good?

Whenever the USA and its corporations leave the Middle East
(been there for over 100 years now),
a discussion can be had about the behavior of nations in the area.

But as long their land or their neighbor's land is occupied,
its neighbors murdered,
invalid corrupt governments installed,
Iran's own government admittedly violently overthrown to install American puppets
and as long as
it is itself threatened,
then your side of the argument holds no sway.

Shout it all you want,
to make yourself feel better
but about 5 billion people on the planet
dismiss your entire argument.

The USA needs to behave, not Iran. We are the ones doing the killing and torturing throughout the world, not Iran.

I see all those trillions and upgrades that Bush did , and the billions Obama is putting into defense on top of Bush's bankroll is really paying off with good American Intel.. Iraq, had WMDs, wait? No they didnt. N. Korea is behind the times, wait, no they arent! They are ultra modern and able to build bombs faster than ever before.

Yeah, and they say SSI and Medicare is a waste of money? LOL, And all they had to do is ask N Korea and they just told them. That was cheaper than all the high tech stuff costing 100s of billions.
11:46 PM on 11/21/2010
How about we just stop giving a DAMN about the North Koreans? How about that? Let the motherfucking South Koreans worry about the North Koreans, let Israel worry about Iran, it's none of our god damn business and there is no benefit for us to dealing with these people.

I wonder if average NKs worry about US. Intrerference on an empty stomach. But then in a totlitarian regime there' really only a small group that worries about it. Everyone else is told what to think by a two-bit dictator who is possibly losing his mind.

Doesnt the fact that we had no clue this reactor was there make you wonder if all the things we have been told about NK is even true? Are they really supressed? Hungry? Any more Totlitarian regime than we are here? Like with Cuba, NK WAS in the past a place were it was hard to verify what was actually going on, and we have had years of US propaganda forming your opinions. But now we have learned that Cuba was not nearly as horrible as we had been told for decades, and that every other country in the world was visiting and trading with them. What I am getting out, have you been to NK? How do you know for sure it is what you say it is? Books? News? Because our gov says so? Please, Im very curious. is it just because you know it is? I sure dont know for sure.. Id like to, We are not allowed to visit there, like Cuba.

You don't assume this is fact, do you..? And you can go to Cuba if you want, just fly to Puerto Rico or the Dominican Republic first.

Great...just great...here we are scared straight that Iran and North Korea will build bombs and supply a black market for nuclear materials that the terrorist can purchase from and send via FedEx our way --- and we are going to be in Afghanistan till 2014. National governments have to be bailed out, the US growth is at a snails pace. The future looks bleak

Ive always wondered if countries that dont like us say that same things about us?
This is just an example:

Great...just great...here we are scared straight that Israel and the United States will build bombs and supply a black market for nuclear materials that the terrorist can purchase from and send via FedEx our way"

Do people say this in NK, Iran, and other countries where we are the bad guys? Ive always wondered that. And if they do? Then just who is right? Are they the terrorist? Our we?

The USA might want to regress to 1955. Still discussing issues from the last century, but the rest of the world will catch up. Like it or not. Less war and hate might have to give to compromise and tolerance. Something the Republicans better brush up on if they want to co-exist in globalization. It's here and you can either keep fighting losing battles or move to another level in foreign policy. Obama used to talk about diplomacy. Now we understand its just talk.

Why are we surprised? With the example of Iraq before them, there are a slew of insecure nations out there that will be hustling their bustle to get nuclear weapons.

It's the only protection they have against a large imperialist nation.

You mean like telling the UN you have no WMD? How about letting them have full access to all your facilities? How about bouncing a pingpong ball around the empty, cavernous spaces and saying "Hey presto! Nothing up my sleeve!"

That's right - you BETTER be nice to us. Because we are the BIGGEST GUYS AROUND - and we don't HAVE to be nice to anyone if we don't feel like it.

It's called bullying. It's why some countries are falling over themselves to GET those WMD.

Think about it ...

you know Angelaaaa . I actually agree. If you scared of you house being robbed and your daughters being raped because its happened the block over, you would probably get an alarm and at least a mean dog and maybe a couple guns. A country is no different then your own personal property and family worries of safety when it comes to it. I really cant blame them for stocking up for protection. After all, we do it. At least that is what our politicians tell us we are paying trillions for.
