Lovely article.

I am quietly laughing to myself while thinking of all those who would survive a zombie attack.
After all ..... they are in search of brains.

Personal Note: Loved the article, but I hate the word "niggling". So many other words to use....

Also: You zoms can't have my brains, I'm still using them!

7 reasons why an outbreak would fail quickly

Pretty sound science there. The first three reasons alone (animal/insect predation on zombies, heat-induced putrefaction, leading to the interesting phenomenon of zombies spontaneously exploding of natural causes, and cold, which would literally freeze zombies in their tracks) would seem to cull the zombie hordes pretty quickly. A zombie's lack of ability to regulate it's own temperature seems like a pretty fatal design flaw in terms of world domination.

Oh, darn. I just read the story about when The Who came to Chicago. Thought this might be about The Zombies... the musical ones..

One small point of contention:

I think 'Day of the Dead', from 1985, is Romero's best. I know EVERYONE and their mother says 'Dawn' is his best zombie film, but I truly think 'Day' is.

And Tom Savini's gore effects were never better.
