Yah sure you betcha it's a Democratic power grab--right up until the year the GOP takes full control of this country again and uses it themselves to finish America's destruction.

The filibuster doesn't always work. Mass. put Scott Brown into office to be the enable a filibuster of Obamacare but the Democrats still forced it on us. That's horrible but it did turn the House to the GOP.

I have a better idea. How about doing away with the Senate altogether. A useless institution that does not work.
10:07 PM on 01/04/2011
Power grab? What the thugs in the Senate have been doing for two years is a power grab. A criminal act for which they should all be prosecuuted and punished.

There's no oxygen in the GOP tent. How else to explain so much idiocy? Where is the jobs creation plan?

Senator Bernie Sanders a.k.a. the Conscience of Congress, showcased how a filibuster should b used and under what circumstances.

He was very comical. He pretended to be a deficit hawk when all he wants to spend as much as possible and to worship taxes.

These guys are just as vehement about the Republicans reforming the rules in the House. Right? No? Say it isn't so.

Filibuster reform is absolutely necessary if the American People ever hope to see a competent and functioning Senate.

It's ironic that what's meant by "reform" is a return to the original intent expressed in Article I, Section 5 of the Constitution.

Back to the Future.

Remember, they just shout about the Constitution to get their base riled up, they haven't actually read it nor do they actually believe in it. Except the parts they can cherry-pick to their advantage, much like they use the Bible.

I hope that when agent orange and clones stage their school play reading of the Constitution that they make turtlehead read Article I, Section 5.
