Isn't the big problem simply that a few people do not want to be required to carry health insurance?

They let them live their own lives and not use them as guinea pigs for social experimentation.

Worse (or even worser, for that matter), is the talk of cutting SS and Medicare, etc. in addition.

It seems to me it is time to put things in the most SIMPLE of terms, so that the 'majority' of American People can understand it.

Here's my first. Would you rather cut programs that actually positively affect the lives of poor, elder and challenged Americans, which would include death and/or starvation for many of them? OR, would you rather have the rich in this country pay more in taxes (call it a tax increase, who cares?), which is money they really don't even NEED?

In my book LIFE comes before LUXURY on the scale-of-things-important.

So you are the final word on what people "NEED". That is reassuring.

Wow, okay, scratch what I was saying about putting things in simple terms. Obviously that doesn't work either.

No, wait, I shouldn't give up that easy.

Okay, here goes ...

NEED - stuff that helps one SURVIVE. You know, like food and clothing and shelter, that sort of stuff.

You trackin' now?

As opposed to you?

The question is, are you rich? If not who cares how you would prefer they spend their money. If you are, feel free to spend your money supporting the already existing private charities providing care to the poor.

My stand is if the GOP wants to repeal healthcare insurance they should stop taking the coverage they get from the government. If you want to deny me coverage, then stop your own. Its just that simple, walk the talk folks.

Yes, if government-run health insurance is so bad, why are they taking advantage of it? We would all like that coverage, please.
11:49 AM on 01/05/2011
Why should they? They are at least providing a service for their benefits, albeit with questionable results, but a service none the less. You, on the other hand, appear to just want your coverage.
As if you are entitled to something for nothing. Here is a tip, if the Government doesn't control your health care, they cannot deny your coverage.

This is who the Republicans are: "half-in-love with easeful death"(Evelyn Waugh)...
human life is absolutely nothing to them... when will the American people realize that?
