They are trying hard to turn him into O.J., but otherwise I don't see your point.

Hell hath no fury like a Gold digger scorned. If i ever won one of those i would let them castrate me before i gave the ring up. And she know that. Thats why she is asking for the ring and not to give up assets like cars or probably his current residence. Plain ol spiteful. Im with him.

A Gold Digger that gave him several children and will raise them. Hmmm!

You'd think a 24 Carat gold digger would have avoided having kids so all his money would be spent on her...and if there were kids she'd want him to have custody.

Good grief! It's not like it's a Super Bowl ring. Hand it over and save yourself 130k.

Unfortunately, when it comes to family law, our legal system is pitted against the father. You'd have to send me to jail...

Wait beyond handing over his ring, what the hell did he do with all his money, 12 years in the NFL he should at least made 2 million dollars.

Well, let's see. He WAS married to a woman who has no qualms about taking his championship ring. What do you think happened to his money?

My take is that this is a cheap shot with the intention of degrading him. I'm sure there are myriad other ways to pay the attorney fees, but to go after the ring specifically? That's more symbolic than monetary. Low blow.
06:32 PM on 01/19/2011
Don't voluntarily get into a custody battle, knowing full well that you may lose & therefore will have to pay legal fees, if you don't have the money to do so.

How hard is that to understand?

Thanks for your derision, but I do understand the issue. My point was merely that the ring is a symbolic gesture and there may be other means with which to pay the bills. You may read my post again if you missed that part.

Wouldn't it be poetic justice if this judge came home one day to discover that her double-wide has been repossessed to pay off her Target bills?

I don't know anything about it but why not just file bankrupcy? This case brings up thoughts of a debtors prison.

Because for the average joe, claiming bankruptcy does not negate legal fees.
Remember all bankruptcy laws were written by lawyers.

Dear judge, why dont you just order him to sell his underwear on ebay to raise money for the lawyers of his ex-wife? As a matter of fact, why dont you just have him auction off his soul? Im sure its worth more than his wife's attorneys.

Keep the ring, go to jail and have the judge interviewed on Anderson Cooper!
