Yow! I was just thinking about makos jumping into your boat after that eagle ray landed on the lady the other day. There are tales of the mako leaping into the boat, bashing a hole in the hull and sinking it. When predator and prey switch roles.

I love how the guy applied for a shark-catching permit after the fact, just in case.

It's perfectly legal and there is a provision for it in case a commercial boat lands something they were not trying or permitted to fish for

So what about all these women who come to my house and then they file kidnapping charges? Do they have a case?

He didn't "apply" for a permit- he called them to let them know what happened so some environmental wh acko didn't try to have him fined.

First this guy was fishing for Red snapper 60 miles off shore. Which by the way is illegal and he was cleaning his ill gotten gain and throwing the blood and guts over board which made the shark jump into the boat. Not unheard of if you fish off shore.

Glad no one was hurt, but sorry that magnificent creature had to lie there for four hours. Those men couldn't have done anything to help it, I know that.

That's awesome, I don't know what those kids were thinking dumping fish guts in the water if they were not fishing for sharks. But shark is delicious, you would think they would be tough but aww naw, they are so tender, it's like the lobster of fish.

They were fishing for snapper. Chumming the water to attract them.

How could you kill that innocent shark? He wasn't bothering you.
10:58 AM on 03/31/2011
They didn't, it died because they couldn't get close enough to push it back in the water

"The mako shark had apparently been in a rush to feed." Ya think??? "It began thrashing around, and Kresse said he and his crew couldn't get close to the 375-pound fish to toss it back in the water." Um...yea, that was probably good thinking? "It damaged the boat before dying several hours later." They are ultra lucky it only damaged the boat & then died instead of latching on to one them or even ruining the boat and somehow going back in the water. It was hungry enough to risk its life. Anything could have went down. God was on their side. An amazing story indeed.
