Tiger's done ... knee's going again. Every round he starts wincing after shots on the final holes. He let it go too long, which is ironic considering how many resources and advice available for an athlete of his caliber.

Done, finito as the ever-dominant player you can't live without him being. And I'll do you one better: it's been several years now since this first became clear.

It was a pleasure to see someone who is deserving such a great championship !! It was more of a pleasure not having Tiger Woods win. Congrats to the Champion!!!

based on what? Rich Beem was (is) a country club hustler - not brought up under the tutelage of Els.

Tiger's game is almost back. He will win a major or two this year. He needs to clean up a few things!!!

Because someone has to say it.

If he fixes his putting game, stop rushing and letting bad shots get to him, he's unstoppable. KJ Choi is the perfect model of the mentality a golf player should have. He's like a machine.
09:11 PM on 04/10/2011
Good point by Tiger is a mental machine as well but I don't think he's totally over last years off the course mess. That was all about image and how people fewed him. That has to still be in his head a little. Tiger will win a major this year. Take it to the bank!!!
09:07 PM on 04/10/2011
I will take that bet..He will not even win one major..The young guns have no fear of his game like the Mickelsons and the older guys used too.

no fear? BWAHAHAHA....did you see Rory fold like a blanket when Tiger shot up the leader board? The only thing that stopped Tiger today was his putting on 11 and 15. I won't mention what flustercuck Sat. was....you guys live on the moon

There's gonna have to be a little bit more to call a day at the Masters a "wild day". Did the groundskeeper blow up the golf course?

If you consider a day watching the Masters as a "wild day", then I would guess that you aren't.

Congrats, one of the best finishes I have ever seen. He has ice in his veins. 4 straight birdies at the masters.

08:31 PM on 04/10/2011
Schwartzel had 4 birdies on his last 4 holes....that will get it done.

Good to see the 2 Aussies, who were childhood friends, on the 18th with a chance to win.
08:31 PM on 04/10/2011
An amazing Masters. Tiger on the front nine was masterful but lost his steam on the back nine at Augusta. He seemed to lose focus once he was tied with the leaders and gave up some crucial putts.

Tiger's game is almost there and should not take any time off. He should get back to tournaments every couple of weeks or more to keep his swing in tact.

Because someone has to say it.
08:45 PM on 04/10/2011
He's fixed the whole swing drama. He just needs to putt better. Maybe he needs one of those long arm putters like Adam Scott had. I saw him wincing on the 2nd shot on 18. Maybe he tweaked something. But it's pretty pathetic seeing how he rolled several birdies off the cup (6?) in the 3rd round and 2 birdies and an eagle in the last 9 holes to tie for 4th. Tiger should've won by 2 strokes with everyone trying to catch him and he knows it. That's why he was so ungracious in his post-game interview. He was mad at himself.
09:03 PM on 04/10/2011
I think he winced at 18 due to his approach shot to the green. It veered right a little bit.

Usually Tiger takes a long Holiday after the masters and this year he shouldn't. He should get back into tournaments and start winning. His work ethic isn't as good as before the infamous Escalade crash and has resulted in his poor performance.

I don't watch sports. I'm a big queen. It's genetic. I can see why people enjoy sports and how they can be really excited during a game. I don't get the people who watch golf. It seems so boring.

jcarteria, you would have enjoyed watching today. Very exciting...and heartbreaking to watch McIlroy completely melt down. I don't remember a Masters with so many in contention on the last day...people were making shots and long putts everywhere. even more exciting with so many young players right in it.

It is horrendous to watch on TV and honestly, I think it's worse in person.

I like to play the game, but watching it is pretty hard to do.

BTW

Congrats to the winner.

And these namby pamby spoiled brats can't take ANY razzing, either. One time, a Japanese guy at the Hawaiian Open told Jerry Pate, "nice putt" after he had missed a one foot putt, and they escorted him off the course.

The PGA Tour mentality is _sickening, filled with egomaniacs. Going to a tournament is the worst thing ever.

Why do they whisper on the TV? Do they know that they can't hear the people watching?

The only reason I can think of is that they are close by, within hearing range. Otherwise, it's pretty silly.
