I thought the cure to everything was to raise taxes on wage earners. Isn't that the cure all?
11:19 AM on 04/24/2011
Can't remember when we tried that. We shifted them from the Fed to State to Town. Remember trickle down ? What they meant was to rolls downhill.
I just find it interesting that the same folks screaming about the deficit are so eager to expand our military commitments.

Let us take his money, use his family and friends to do the dirty work. The rest of us are tired of spending our elderly citizen money and losing our family members on wars of adventure. A stupid man continues to do stupid things.

Oh, ya, blame the rich. Its my doctor, pharmacist, and boss' fault, not the jerks in DC.

Do you know, that if we taxed 100% of all American income, we could not balance the budget? The problem is not even remotely that the rich are not being taxed enough. It is that we are spending far too much for what we're getting in return. What is the return on investment for a million pounds of metal dropped on another population? Are we making our 6% anymore, or is that why they've dropped rates to near zero? So we can borrow more money from China, buy more metal, build more bombs at taxpayer expense, and drop them into the abyss?

Ever wonder how the Catholic church accumulated so much wealth on a voluntary 10%, while the govt is broke using violence to extract 35% from everyone whether they agree or not? Perhaps the difference is not that rich people exist, but that political idiots get to spend their money?

So if you take the money from rich people who have actually earned it, because you're upset with the political bankers who've scammed it, and force more wealth from those earners to those political scammers, how exactly will that improve things?

President Obama started The War in Libya. His solution to the war is to raise the taxes of those that produce wealth and give it to the sloths that keep his ilk in power. That is a sure cure for the end of war.

Enough of the blame game. Let's bring the troops home from all of our "Presidential Adventures". We get involved in affairs that are none of our business.

If there are treaties involved, then we need to honor them properly. As far as UN mandates are concerned, supporting that organization of corrupt lackies is a waste of time and money. Certainly, no American Blood should be shed in support of the UN solely.

"But the goal is to get rid of Gaddafi"

I thought the goal was to protect civilian lives. And exactly how does the U.S. taking a more active role ensure against a prolonged conflict? We seem to have a decent history of prolonged conflicts. I'd need to see more details about that before I'd believe it. So far what I'm hearing is "We need to use our munitions faster so we can order more."

Innocent civilians are being killed all over the globe. Why don't we just start bombing the entire earth? I'm tired of my tax dollars going to line the pocket of the military industrial complex.

END ALL WARS!

No, I have an education in rhetoric and can see subtle shifts. Protecting civilians is different from adopting their mission and doing it for them.

I'll say this for Lindsey Graham.

He is sure mounting a heroic effort to catch John McCain's political integrity degeneration race.

With Mitch McConnell also in that race, and the money river flowing to them faster every day, this could get interestinger and interestinger.
