Well there's a bit of good news for us. For once our government is rejecting frankenfoods. One small step in the right direction.

Next to follow is the patenting of fish and animals. Now Monsanto and AquaBounty will rule the world.

We are what we eat. It is naive to think that f&@king with the animals we eat will have no repercussions. We will become modified ourselves. I certainly don't want anyone eating frankenfish. especially not me. If it is allowed, I certainly want it to be labled so I can avoid it. There are better ways to feed a growing population safely. It may not be the cheapest way, but an old Italian proverb states "It is better to pay the grocer than the doctor".

It's only a matter of time before the 12 Monkeys steal some and release them into the wild. Soon the natural waters will be overrun by the genetically created fish and then...! I'll still order the beef.

The genes involved are all fish genes. If this combination came about by a chance mutation, the result to the environment would be the same.
My problem arises from allowing huge multinational corporations to patent and control the very essence of life, something that they did not create.

My question is . . . what the heck are they going to do with the modified salmon that AquaBounty has already created? Cat food? Just the fact that these things exist at all is unsettling. Conjures up images of the three-eyed fish on The Simpsons.

Let's face it, we have no idea to what extent the genetic tweaking/modifying/cloning has been or is currently taking place in any species. And, as everyone already does know, Monsanto owns us. How much don't we know?

In Europe, genetically-modified foods have to be labelled as such. But in the US, the food lobby did not want it, so of course it did not happen.

NO Frankenfood
NO GMO
NO Monsanto
NO ADM
NO Corporate Animals

We somehow managed to make it to this point in history without the need for corporate animals, now we are overrun with many types of corporate animals.

First plants & animals, next US!

Monsanto spends a lot of money on congress to keep that from happening.

More time is needed so that big money can invest in the technology before it's approved by the FDA.

A good chance it is farmed if it comes from Scotland and it is not as healthy as wild salmon.
