Debates are won by facts, not opinion

Jobs are needed. They allow people to be self-supporting, which eases the strain on the budget and they pay taxes, which raise revenue to pay down the deficit. That's right, revenue has to be raised to pay down the deficit. Repeal the Bush Tax Cuts would reduce the deficit by two trillion dollars over the next four years. Those who oppose investment in job creation are in NO way listening to their constituents, the Tea Party perhaps, but the last election was ALL about JOBS and not spending. You have no right to complain about the lack of job growth if you consciously deny job creation.

I think the story here is why did Klobuchar vote against cloture?

Republicans don't want shovel ready jobs, they want to slow the recovery for political gain.

Drafting an effective plan and securing funding are the first steps in preparing a job site. You first need the money to buy the shovel. If more jobs are not created then the only use we will have for a shovel is to bury what is left of our economy.

It's obvious they plan to stall job creation so they can then turn around and blame the Democrats for not being effective in creating jobs.

It's as plain as the tro|| you see every time you gaze into a mirror.

Are any of us here surprised by this? The real republican agenda is to dumb down America, keep job creation at a minimum and keep unemployment growing. This way we will be so hungry for jobs that we will be willing to take a job at less than minimum wage and without benefits. Corporations will make more money and have slave labor. Can we say serfdom???

Every one of those 4 Democrats who voted against this program ( Senator Ben Nelson (D-Neb.), Senator Tim Johnson (D-S.D.), Senator Amy Klobuchar (D-Minn.) and Senator Claire McCaskill (D-Mo.) - should be primaried, and replaced in 2012 by A Democrat - who actually cares more about creating jobs!

And EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THE hypocrite Republicans ALSO - need to be VOTED OUT of office - NONE of them care about the American people - NONE of them care about creating jobs for the American people! Get them ALL OUT OF CONGRESS! I do not want to be wasting my tax dollars paying the $100,000 dollar salaries of Republican FOOLS , who DO NOT care about the poor, and the working class Americans in this country!

Get these Republicans OUT!

Has anyone forgot about their real main pledge to America? The one to make BO a one term pres? With that goal in mind any and everything that can be for those not of the rich and well off is all pushed aside for discrediting BO, line their pockets and political gain of key seats including the WH!
Its a man's world but in America....its really about the "White man" and any and everything thats not like them or in support of them is against them and all those will suffer. Tell me I'm lying when those that suffer at the hands of GOP/right control.

Women and minority women...why still a disparity of equal high positions, or equal pay for same work: Hmmmmm Walmart lawsuit tossed out!

Minorities in general...racial profiling, agenda against them, hirer tactics, cut in support programs and jobs.

Income...If you don't make enough to be influential then your only good to be around to give your vote.

*yes some whites suffer as well, but skin association give the notion of benefit of the doubt first, then followed by which way you vote and how much money you or connection. Again have none of that and your on the outside looking in. I'm looking with clear eyes!

Its about entitlement, power, sway and influence of control.

"Conservative" is not a political party, genius.

Republicans are desperate. George Dubai Bush's failed presidency only created 3 million jobs in EIGHT YEARS... and conservatives fear that since any other POTUS would have passed that in two years, their attempts to blame Obama for the failed and fraud-based Bush economy will be hindered once Obama surpasses the 3 million jobs mark. More than 2 million jobs have already been created since Obama turned around the unprecedented job hemmorhaging caused conservative's failed policies during the George Dubai Bush years.

Can we finally stop equating Democrats with Republicans. I'm tired of hearing that Democrats are as guilty as Republicans are.

It's just not true. That's a lie created by FOX and yet many Democrats are repeating it.

On November 3, 2010 John Boehner stepped up to a microphone and said that his number one priority, PRIORITY NUMBER ONE would be jobs, jobs, jobs.

168 days after taking the gavel, there has not been one jobs bills passed or voted on in the House of Representatives.

Although he praised EDA projects in the past, Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) said he would not support cloture because the GOP must maintain its leverage.
Collins stood behind her support of the program, but told HuffPost she still might not support the bill.
"I have seen first hand that it has led to the creation of jobs in my home state and has been a catalyst for private sector investment,"

Republicans found out the program has been working too well and need to axe it to prolong the recession in hopes of more republican gains...
