Very sad, Dunn was always the one who looked the most apprehensive to me about stunts in the Jackass Series. Sad loss for his friends and family.

I agree. Like a mouse walking up to a cat and thumbing his nose. Real dumb.

I feel bad for the passenger, thank God he did not kill additional people.

To be blunt, the passenger should have known better than to get in the car with him after he'd been drinking. Even if Dunn was sober, I'm sure his friend would have known that he was a reckless driver.

I have to agree with you.
I tell my kids all the time (not waiting till they are all teens) to NEVER get into a car driven by somebody drinking. Call me at 2:00 AM if they have to.

Tragic? For his passenger, yes. For the driver, stupid. Absolutely. I'm sure he was a great guy, but this was completely avoidable.

I had never heard of Ryan Dunn until his death. Maybe he was a nice guy and I'm sure he had family and friends who loved him, but he was clearly a reckless individual. Drunk and 130 miles an hour in the middle of the night it's no wonder he and the friend met their demise. Let's be thankful they didn't kill anyone else.

What is particularly worrisome about this tragic death is that in some media he's being painted as a cool guy who died 'living on the edge'. Driving at the speed on a public road is like firing a gun into the air in a populated area just for thrills, not thinking that the bullet may come done on an innocent person. Edgy? No. Stupid and selfish? Yes.

I guess I don't get the whole hoopla over this. The guy made a bunch of money pulling pranks that could have easily maimed or killed him. The stunts they pulled were supposed to be "shocking" and "funny". I found them barely "shocking" but more "ign0r@nt" than anything.

So why are people up in arms over this guy who wiped himself and an innocent passenger out?

Bam Margera, Steve O, and all of these other guys feel like they can cheat death. Well, death sometimes comes when you least expect it or when there's no cameras around.

Lesson learned.

You have no idea - I live nearby and people who have met him even one time are acting like he was Gandhi or something. He may have been a nice guy, but it makes me sick how people act like we've lost a major contribution to humanity if a celebrity dies. If they're famous, they can do no wrong.

There is no defense for drinking and driving. NONE. If you are going out to drink, make arrangements. I think a person who does so and causes a death, should be charged with murder.

Due to my job, I deal with drunk drivers, and the aftermath on a practically daily schedule. I can't believe how many times the DUI driver survives, while killing passengers or innocent people in other vehicles.

I truly believe pics of the carnage caused by drunk drivers should be shown in high school. They should be plastered all over the DMV offices.

A planet where people are held accountable for the idiotic actions. So what's your point? You don't think that people who choose to drink and then drive should be held responsible for murder if the end up killing someone? It is not an accident, when someone is drunk and driving at an extremely high rate of speed.

As far as pics in school, years ago they used to show autopsy pics, crash scene pics and mangled bodies in some school districts. I'm sure a few people were deterred. I was.

And yet they won't legalize it! A shame. Thankfully no innocent lost their life in this horrible accident.
