Tim Pawlenty? Charisma? Two concepts that should never been seen together, unless we're being asked to believe that he's been possessed by the ghost of Fred Thompson.

What more is there to say about a man who thinks you can appeal to Republicans with a hip-hop nickname?

Pawlenty for President. Anyone from Minnesota is good for me. Hubert Humphrey was from Minnesota! His campaign slogan was: Some People Talk Change, Others Cause It

Pawlenty is talkin bout change, especially in Minnesota. He has the stuff to cause change. He was the governor of Minnesota who successfully shut down the state. Politicians like to play with fire, but they seem to get burned.

Nasty attacks aside, Pawlenty is the best candidate for President. He has an impressive resume, and is a proven governor (of Minnesota). His record speaks for itself: he shut down the state gov.

I think I'd rather vote for Palin. Atleast I have a perverse notion of wanting to know what Palin would do as president.

As a Minnesotan, I think Pawlenty's supporters are just now noticing what his detractors have always known. He's a boring dud who sucked up to the anti-tax extremists in his party and abandoned whatever sensible ideas he had to advance his Presidential aspirations. Without the third party in the Minnesota governor races, he may not have even been elected governor.

There is a dynamic presence to Pawlenty, a man almost universally described as the "smartest in the room." - Obviously a room full of Republicans.

Tim Pawlenty, at no time in his life, has ever had charisma. He's always been a dud and the majority of Minnesotans agree.
He only won his re-election by 46%, and it was because nobody could stand Mike Hatch, the Dem that ran against Pawlenty in 2006. There was a campaign by local Dems to NOT vote for Hatch. That is the ONLY way this dullard won a 2nd term.
And look at what a failure he was as governor.....

Caymen......you made a valid statement, but you made the same mistake that DEMOCRATS make. You never completed your thought.

I am interested in more details on what Pawlenty did as a MN governor. Couldn't you take a little more time and list the top two or three reasons Pawlenty was a bad governor and how that would translate into a presidency.

We democrats do not have a television network, educating or spinning for us 24/7. We do not have 700 conservative radio stations handing down the GOP mantra. We need to educate each other. Hope I didn't offend you......but we need to get out the facts and truth.

I'll try to finish caymen's thought......
Pawlenty did nothing to fix Minnesota's budget problems - after 8 years of doing nothing to solve the state's problems, we are suffering a government shutdown as a result of his failure to offer reasonable solutions to the state's structural deficit. Pawlenty's solution was to borrow money owed to the schools and use it to avoid raising taxes so as not to run afoul of the right.

He spent 8 years groveling to the far right in order to further his presidential ambitions. He spent 8 years sowing division instead of offering solutions to the
state's problems - no creative ideas about growing the economy or improving infrastructure. I see him as a soulless guy who will do anything to curry favor with the right. Whatever spine he had in high school has long since turned to spaghetti.

He's the guy who has a new suit, armor, sword and shield. You do not recognize him anymore because he needs to have a lift in all angles just so he could be marketable in a very demanding position that nobody wants to- but because it puts the GOP back on their tracks into cradling the backs of the rich entities and the tea party altogether while working in the shadows to actually pursue the objectives of the few rich.

What a show they must put up!
