Nolan should teach most director in Hollywood how to make a movie especially Michael Bay. You can still make a great Summer blockbuster with a great story.

Its easier to make a film all CG with an attractive girl in short shorts with a one dimensional leading actor, and a terrible story, than write and direct a masterpiece.

Why anyone would spend money on a Michael Bay disaster is beyond me.

Even though it's unfair, I continue to use Chris Nolan as the standard for comic book movies. Even in movies like Green lantern, I was constantly imagining how would Christopher Nolan do this flim?

I agree. But for better or worse The Dark Knight has become the standard by which all comic book movies are measured. And rightfully so , because TDK IMO was a modern masterpiece.

I 'd say C Nolan for the "realsitic" standard and Zach Snyder for the slightly more "fantastical" standard.
I'm sure Nolan's final Bats will be awesome, and I'm looking forward to Snyder's take on Superman

Careful. We don't want to learn from this.

If other studios were smart, they won't release anything near this thing.

I'm excited about avengers for sure and it'll make tons of money. BUT it's the third and final batman film, so just that alone along with a year of anticipation, the next film from nolan after Inception.

I personally wouldn't even release the avengers within 2 or three weeks.

I do like the recent revamping of these movies. However, The Dark Knight was an amazing movie because of Heath Ledger. It was a legendary performance that Christian Bale wishes he could ever come close to.
01:23 PM on 07/18/2011
Heath Ledger's performance is largely do to Nolan's guidance. The Dark Knight Rises will be better then The Dark Knight because Nolan doesn't settle for anything less. This film will show that Nolan is the true genius behind The Dark Knight.

Bane represents Batman's first real physical challenge in these Nolan movies.

Quick observations:
- Looks like Bruce doing those pushups in an apparent jail cell. Also looks a little scruffy with a beard. Could be that his self-sacrifice at the end of TDK is taking it's toll.
- Batman looks weakened and tired. It's a quick shot but he looks small compared to this new villain.

From the music and images it should be called the Dark Knights Inception. Ha. Kidding Mr Nolan. I can't wait for this movie. These films have been the best reboots in the history of film.

+1, it's an Inception reunion for this movie.

Hardy is going to get an Oscar nom, even if it's for the simple fact of his DeNiro-esque weight gain.

This movie is going to rock. Now we just have to wait until summer of next year.
