Hearing the voices of the Speaker of the House and other senior member of the Republican hierarchy on h8te radio everyday, giving blow-by-blow account of their negotiating stance while kowtowing to these blowhards diminishes their stature along with the institutions they represent.
This degrading practice should stop.

Every time I see John Boehner I have this weird urge to rent "Love at First Bite". His tan is so striking!

Pelosi should give Mr. Boehner some pointers on how to handle his duties as Speaker and how to control his caucus. Mr. Boehner clearly has lost the handle.

Have no fear ...

I just heard Limbaugh say that Boehner called him BEFORE he spoke with his own caucus.

Turns out its true that the drug-addicted, food-addicted, admittedly PAID shill of the Koch Bros is the head of the Repub party.

The GObP/Repubs just get lower and lower but this is to throw up.

Boehner's plan is NOT going to cut the spending enough. We got to stop this excessive spending, we're all going to have to sacrifice. http://manyrandomfacts.blogspot.com/2011/07/random-fact-of-day-72111.html

Gee, how about FAIR taxes for ALL instead of the working class supporting the wealthy, AND, an end to Repub tax loopholes for big business such as the recent increase to oil companies and to companies who take their jobs out of the country.

why is it that 6300 posts on here do not recognize one incontrovertible fact;; The 2 agendas that can never be won in a discussion is politics and religion.. nothing that is said on here is going to change anyones mind about what they believe. And I dont have a link to send you to to verify. DO your own homework. But the fact that every war since the creation of man has been because of religion or politics..

Zealots are pretty hard to dismiss and even harder to eliminate. The right-wing has cornered the media markets, the churches, the Supreme Court and Wallstreet (strange bedfellows eh?) so it's gonna require Obama to be Capt. America and not Dr. Huxtable to win this ideological war. And so far, he's Dr. Huxtable...

If this doen't change fast I know there will be a longer Unemployment line after the next election.

Well maybe they can sell the china tea set they used at the White House and the left over tea bags on line to offset thier loss of income.

Good luck

Raising the debt ceiling is about authorizing debt issuance for payments *on spending Congress has already authorized.*

That being said:
You can hate the size of the Government and be against taxes on principle, but to argue that we should not raise the ceiling under any circumstance is just so, so stupid. Gosh, it's dumb. :(

This is why Boehner's plan will fail because the clueless like Jim Jordan and Michele Bachmann have highjacked the right and are not going to be happy until they see us fail as a nation. Well I'm sure Argentina thought there was nothing wrong with defaulting on their debt in the late 90s either. Fools!

Bush is responsible for the debt and the borrowing to pay the interest on the debt and tax cuts for the wealthy.
05:59 PM on 07/26/2011
That is why I didn't vote for Bush last year or the year before.......Wait how long is Bush responsible for everything again? Until Nov 5 maybe 2012.

i am sure the repub plans for this COTRIVED crisis began to be laid out as soon as the 10 election results were in, if not earlier. and i believe CC&b WERE HIDDEN IN SOME CLOSET AT THE SAME TIME. as i remember right after the shut down the gov't thing in feb? he said the next big adult thing is the debt ceiling. they never intended to agree with ant plan, just using up time until they sprang CC&b and short term out of nowhere, and its short term so they can put obama in a vice when they do it again during the election time. .

They shouldn't call him Speaker when it's the tea party that tells him what to do and say. He's more of a spokesmodel.

Boehner was surprisingly honest I think Thursday when he said something like
" we have to educate some of the freshmen..."

In other words his radically conservative [ ie....off the cliff....nuts...]
people, mostly newer members, think they can tell the world
the US will not pay it's debts and not suffer a massive
reaction.....like much higher interest rates for all governments
in the US and people or corporations......and
that will sink the economy for sure !

You almost feel sorry for [ traditionally nasty ] Boehner,
but he backed himself into this corner for months.
He has to wip his kids like Cantor into shape
and show some grown up responsibility
for a change.

So let's have some Shared Sacrifice, cut the
unnecessary tax give aways for the wealthy,
we all need to pitch in [ and pay for those
GOP war's, unfunded drug bills, etc...$$$$ ]
