They should have given their employees the option to relocate. Lower cost of living and lower taxes. I'd rather move than be an unemployed manufacturing worker in this economy

Maybe they did offer.  I agree it would have been nice to offer.  However, I can tell you that a true New Yorker seldom leaves the nest.  Yes, they might do so when they retire and move to Fla where many are New Yorkers as well.  Most have family and will not leave NY.  It is a way of life.

Lower wage employees with fewer benefits means MORE profits.

The workers lose every time.

And all the politicians do is talk, complain, wring their hands, AND do nothing.

Chances are the contracts will be renewed.
Chances are "somebody" will get campaign money (or bribes).
