If Christie "jumps" into the race, as Kristol suggested, they'd better have a super reinforced platform for him to land on. That boy is much wider than he is high.

This is like Looney Tunes and it has to get worse because no one will be nominated unless they placate the Tea Party and that group of malcontents is wearing thin on the voters.

When your primary achievements have been to pass bills that only give tax breaks to non existent job creators and your only message is more of the same plus the decimation of Medicare and SS, you are working with an empty bag.

Perry is puzzled. He's dumb like the Decider. Republics should love him.

God's Not Stupid...

The man was a yell captain, male cheerleader, at Texas A&M with a BS in Animal Science - not a brain trust. Of course he imploded. You can't do the heavy lifting with a wink and a sardonic hand gesture. If you remove decency, common sense and compassion from a used car salesman, you have Herb Tarlek on steroids, white shoes, matching belt and ear-splitting sports jacket. You also have Perry disguised in well-tailored suits and $500 boots - all hat, no cattle, and pockets stuffed with BS - not the kind you earn in college, BTW. It's Monday.

The Republicans need not scrutinize their candidates too much, for them, it's only important that the candidate meet one important criteria: that it's not Obama. Just nominate a chair already. It will have ideas as good as Perry and will offend far fewer people.

Just a point of reference on Perry and the Constitution...my copy says if you are born in this country...no reference to how you got here, you are a citizen even if your parents aren't citizens. So Perry is saying that children born of illegals and are citizens of the state of Texas by law passed by the Texas legislature are allowed in-state tuition rates. This, and the fact the governor says building a complete fence to keep out all illegals is impossible are about the only issues I agree with him on! LOL

You're right about the Constitution, but Perry has a program that educates children brought into the country illegally, not born here. It's similar to the Dream Act.

It is uncharacteristic, just as his suggestion that those not supporting this strategy don't have a heart. Hearts are for liberals.

Truly level the playing field: make all public universities allmost free. Yes, subsidize them as is done in many other countries. Yes, those same countries that have universal health care. Those citizens pay higher taxes, and the discrepancy between uber wealthy and very poor is not as great as it has become in this country.

Romney dominated Michigan; it's likely Fox doesn't want Romney running the show because he's way too moderate.

Obama is really the luckiest man alive. Not only did he run for president after 8 years of W, but now he is going to go against one of these clowns (and I'm not even including "you betcha" in this group). It's still not going to be a cakewalk, but it definitely could be a lot worse. So many people are trying to compare Obama to Carter, but there is definitely no Reagan in this bunch. Of course, Reagan would have been denounced as a "flaming librul" by this current crop of Republicans.
