Obama needs to be direct with the American people and ask if they are really ready to elect another republican who is uninformed, lazy, and content to do what the mob wants to see. GWB is still fresh in people's minds.

I'm not really sure every Republican is a replica of GWB. No two are alike. Some maybe still a follower but no surety whether they're attached to or have detached to him totally.

One big difference now is that the video from any extreme comment that you make will be looped again and again having a lot more impact than just a print story.

For this reason, Reagan could not be elected in 2012.

(That and he is too liberal for T baggers.)

If Rick Perry manages to keep from tripping over himself and wins the Republican nomination, Obama's campaign should distribute Texas school books to the rest of the country to show everyone what they may be in for.

And against all Republican candidates, the Democrats should spread the new, true meaning of GOP: Greed Over Patriotism.

President Obama knows enough to lie low and exploit contradictions and absurdities of the Other Side. This President plays chess; the others play the slots.

There is no leader that can overcome the entrenched "Advisor" and "Paid off Politician" systems of Washington DC. To continue wishing it was otherwise and to continue supporting the existing system is to buy ourselves more of the same.

To the educated, it seems terrible that a candidate would deny evolution or climate change. I agree. However, most Americans simply do not care that much what their candidate thinks about evolution. Most are looking for a strong leader who can fix the economy. Positions on science simply are not that important to most Americans. I agree with Arianna that we are underestimating Rick Perry's chances.

Well, I don't believe anyone is underestimating his chances. I believe odds are, he will win the Presidency. I do believe we are overestimating his appeal. And these are two different things.

I understand that many don't care about religious beliefs or anti-science bias. But anyone who believes the Earth is on 6,000 years old or that they will eventually rule their own planet is just simply not capable of sentient thought. How can we trust them to do logical things?

About 100 have been arrested and many more will be if they don't obey the law.

What law would that be? The First Amendment, which trumps anything you can come up with?

What utter tripe. Obama will lose the next election due to his extreme positions. Seriously, has any President had lower poll numbers than his? Screaming at people to help him pass a bill that hasn't been written yet? That's leadership for you.

"Seriously, has any President had lower poll numbers than his?"

Actually yes. All of them since Gallup began tracking during Roosevelt's Administration, except for JFK. Obama, with a low 38% approval rating in Gallup, tied Roosevelt.

Thank you Ms. Huffington! I believe that you have hit the nail on the head! It is very scary that the Main Stream Media especially the Beltway Media have created the Tea Party as the loyal opposition when they are a radical extreme. We are giving up our humanity by allowing the fringe, radical right to dictate all policy, rules, and our lives!

To the contrary, I believe in the latest debate Rick Perry has shown he is unreasonable. He offended the American people by assuming we/they are "heartless" to illegals' by not paying for their children's college education, while American's struggle to pay for our own children's college tuition. I am a single mother who has two children and one whose college tuition is $40,000.00+ per year. Rick Perry's argument was not only insulting but illogical, among other things. I believe he has not been able to get his true principles across to the American people. As far as Obama being logical; he and his staff obviously couldn't pass economics 101, nor understand the strategies and statistics that need to be drawn from a formal business plan, before being funded. The President has left this country in the worst economic condition in it's written history and in a globally compromised position at best. Logical in the room? More like elephant in the room. He doesn't pay for illegals education. The Legislature passed the Bill to allow them into college/universities if they had attended high school in the State for 3 years. They pay in-State tuition themselves. The State doesn't pay it for them.

Perry may very well win. People are scared and desperate. But if America makes such a decision, it deserves all the pain and suffering it will receive.

Rick Perry, however, is not Ronald Regan. Ronald Regan appealed to independent and swing voters. Rick Perry repulses them. They may hold their nose and vote for him, but it won't be because they are genuinely fond of him, or he has convinced them to step across the aisle.
