Have you seen the little piggies? No? Then just watch these GOP primaries as the hogs hungrily devourer each other.

You seem to be in a horse race. What about holding the primaries on Christmas Day, flip of the coin, Iowa, NH, SC, NV and FL????

You stole my line! I want to see a nude jello grudge match, between Palin and Bachmann. Christie? Ugh. That's just wrong on so many levels.

Romney will run as an independent republican. Ron Paul will run as a libertarian. Perry will run as a tea party republican. Trump and Palin will run as lunatics. Obama wins easily.

How true! We won't get to keep our tax break for our thoroughbred race horse stable, or get the relocation bonuses and tax breaks for sending our manufacturing plant overseas. I might even have to pay luxury tax on the next yacht I buy, instead of getting to claim it as a business expense. My life as an average American would surely become rough.

The republicans will need every advantage possible to defeat Obama. As we all know, Obama has been very successful reversing the republican financial collapse of Sept 2008. Also, the remarkable foreign policy successes of Obama are impossible to criticize. Add to that the failure of Boehner and the tea party in 2011, and the tea party attacks on the middle class, workers and seniors, you have the makings of a landslide. Especially considering the low quality and character of his opponents.

Unemployment was 10.1 at this point in Reagan's first term, up from 7.5 when he took office.

What they need is a viable candidate. What they don't have is a viable candidate. This is just pure common sense.

Also, what they need is a push in the Republican Congress to come up with some great legislation or at least some great ideas. What we have is .....well, nothing. No job bills, unless you count pushing for more tax cuts for the wealthy and corporations. As big business is showing historically high profits every quarter, and is still not hiring, that is not going to impress many people.

Time for the "big boys" to move in and eliminate this little squirts. CA, abandon "super Tuesday" and have your primary, say in December, or maybe Thanksgiving. Seriously, your point is right on, time to shove this small potatoes out the way.

'South Carolina Republicans have a thirty year track record of picking the eventual Republican Presidential nominee. ' Could that be because New Hamshire and Iowa came first ? This is the state that "picked" Nikki Haley, Jim DeMint, Strom Thurmond, and was the first to seceed from the Union. Great history there boys ! You have much to atone for.

This could inevitably cause a rush of calendar changes. When all the dust settles, the first Republican Primary would happen in November.

Which would mean that the 'field' is most definitely set in stone. Nothing short of superhuman bureaucracy-busting speed could get Christie, Palin, or Count Dracula into the race to be the nominee.

HP should do a "peoples Primary" 2 days before whoever ends up first primary...online, open to everyone. All the candidates...including Obama (since there a no challengers, officially...there should be "potentials" for the Dem side...Hillary comes to mind). "voters" have to pick a Party, no double voting. Given some promotion on all the HP servers we could well get a fairly accurate idea where the election leans.
