Cory Albertson is a journalist and doctoral candidate in sociology living in Atlanta, Georgia. Currently an instructor at Georgia State University, his research as a sociologist focuses on modern media representations of gay and lesbian relationships and their relationship to the institution of marriage. As an entertainment journalist and essayist, Albertson’s writings have been featured in national and regional publications such as Interview, Paste, Out, Georgia Music Magazine and The Atlanta Journal-Constitution.
