A patently false ad attacking President Obama that I recently posted and criticized, which happened to run during CNN programming was not the channel's doing, CNN executives tell me. Turns out the channel has no control over some of the ads run by local outlets, cable channels or satellite systems. To CNN's credit they want viewers to know that the channel has nothing to do with this ad. Still, viewers watching their programming saw the ad and must assume CNN is responsible. A bit of viewer education might be in order. Could be a nifty segment for Anderson Cooper's "Keeping Them Honest."
