Come Tuesday, the Republicans will become an endangered species in the Northeast and a threatened species in much of the Midwest. To borrow a phrase from Zell Miller, they won't be a national party anymore.

270 works for me... and each one beyond will make my smile grow til it hurts. Anything a point or so outside the margin of error will be fine in the popular vote and again the more the better.
The bigger the margins the longer we send the hate and fear crowd to the desert.
396 for Obama
142 for McCain
Surprises:
Obama takes Georgia, North Dakota, Montana, and Indiana
McCain barely squeaks AZ, and Texas is much closer than polled.
And Popular Vote, Obama by 9%.
Obama: 375
McCain: 163
Obama +5%
Obama EC : 340 Popular........ +12%
333 in the EC seems a little high to me. I say 318. +5 popular vote.
Victory will be an utter repudiation of guilt-by-association political tactics and Palin's one-way plane ride back to Alaska.
Obama: 312
McCain: 226
Popular Vote: Obama +4
Obama 342
Love ya, Craig.
Craig Crawford, I hope you are correct. A Palin-McCain win would just allow the country to continue its downward spiral. I have a deep concern for the Supreme Court continuing its far, far right movement. For sure, if this duo is elected, the Court will push woman's rights' back to the 15th century. Americans should vote for this evil duo, however, if they are pleased with the way the country has gone for the last 8 years, under Sure-Shot Dickie and W. McCain enjoys war and more war, so by all means, vote for him, so he can as he says, "Bomb, bomb, bomb.......bomb bomb Iran. " We were spending 16 billion a month for our wars and now, we are spending a paltry 10 billion. Americans can use that 10 billion, right here in the USA to fund our needs. How about our infrastructure, for starters?
Barack Obama: 367
John McCain: 171
Popular Vote: Obama +8
hey, not too bad.
364-174 (I missed Montana - but only by 12,000 votes)
+7 (53-46) - some of the college kids must have slept in :-)
HuffPost's Pick
The grand prize is much bigger than bragging rights.
Absolutely!!! Why endeavor for a game-tying FIELD GOAL, when a game-winning TOUCHDOWN is the primary objective?
Hi Craig. I got 13 out of 14 state predictions right for Obama on SUPER TUESDAY. I predicted Massachusetts, too, but he lost that.
So now, here are my predictions:
Barack Obama: 413
John McCain: 125
And...here are my upset picks that take Obama's yet-to-be-determined total to a whopping 413:
(1) Mississippi - He will win this state by t-h-i-i-s much. He will be powered by an overperforming BLACK VOTE (the state is 39% black), and by young an/or educated whites,
(2) Missouri - Think about this: in the same weekend, Obama drew 100,000 in St. Louis, and 75,000 in Kansas City. Those are the biggest cities in Missouri, and will likely come out big for him on election day.
(3) Montana & North Dakota - It should scare McCain that he is polling even with Obama in both of these states. That means young people will provide Obama's margin of victory in those states.
(4) Arizona - This is the same problem McCain is having in his home state: he's polling even with Obama. Young people and latinos will provide Obama's margin of victory.
(5) "Omaha, NE" - As you already know, if Obama wins the district that Omaha is in, he will win one electoral vote - due to state law. His friendship with Warren Buffett, aka The Oracle of Omaha, should help in that regard. AGains, he'll lose the state, but win Omaha.
Obama will also turn Indiana, Virginia, North Carolina, and Georgia...BLUE.
