John McCain is marching to a military tune this week, touting his family's heritage in armed forces. Make no mistake about the positive-negative message that the Republican nominee-to-be is sending out. Stressing that he is the "son and grandson of admirals" who taught him "how to love my country" is a way to emphasize that neither Democratic rival has any military background.

Hey folks, you are right. Obama's hand-over-heart oversight was for the National Anthem, not the Pledge. Must confess that the whole thing seems so silly to me, I had not properly captured the detail. My bad. Sorry.
