Here's a little something going around:
when you make a donation to PP in her name, they'll send her a card telling her that the donation has been made in her honor. Here's the link to the Planned Parenthood website:https://secure.ga0.org/02/pp10000_inhonor
You'll need to fill in the address to let PP know where to send the "in Sarah Palin's honor" card. I suggest you use the address for the McCain campaign headquarters, which is:
McCain for President
1235 S. Clark Street
1st Floor
Arlington , VA 22202P.S. Make sure you use that link above or choose the pulldown of Donate--Honorary or Memorial Donations, not the regular "Donate Online"
I just did this!

Absolutely brilliant and ohmygod fun!
What a brilliant idea! And ohmygod fun!
Support a good cause AND get into a little mischief? Who wouldn't love killing two birds with one stone this way?! I'm all for it. I'm already on my way out to mail my money order.

I made my contribution. It felt really good!
I donated, and I guess Sarah Palin is now getting a card. I wish I could see her face when she gets/reads all those cards.
Great idea. Any women's marches coming up in the swing states? I am close to NV. We certainly can't let the Alaskans be the only women Bailin' on Palin.
I understand the feeling behind this but I'd rather spend my money on winning this election and making sure Ms. Palin never gets NEAR the White House and never has the potential to yank away our right to choose. Spending $$$ just to antagonize her is a waste and will provide fodder for the GOP to slam us for attacking her. I'm donating to Obama-Biden and moveon.org instead right now.
(I also support PP and their work and have donated and volunteered for them -- it's a worthy organization but at this moment resources need to be applied more directly to the election in my opinion)
The minimum donation is only $5, so even if you use the majority of your "expendable" money for political donations, even making a $5 contribution will help make the point (and add to the flood of postcards Palin will hopefully receive) as well as providing funds to a very worthy organization (as you noted).
Please make sure to donate to Planned Parenthood PAC, so they can use the money to run ads against McCain/Palin and in support of the REAL ticket for women, Obama/Biden
I agree that this is another worthy cause, but just FYI, FEC regulations won't allow you to make a political contribution (to a PAC, campaign, etc.) in someone else's name. So in order to have the "thank you" postcard sent to McCain HQ, it has to be a contribution to Planned Parenthood, not the Planned Parenthood Action Fund (PAC).
i would like to donate to the pac so that funds can be used for anti-mccain/palin ads, but i'm not sure which site is the official pac-- is it https://secure.ga0.org/02/supportAF or https://secure.ga0.org/02/08_donate? unfortunately, neither one is linked to on the main planned parenthood site. just don't want to send my money to a bogus org calling itself planned parenthood pac!
What a hoot! Never would anyone expect this to be done for/to Palin. t also will rack up the amount she has associated with her so go for it. Sad to believe all of those who have had to pay to get DNA done to catch the rapist have yet to get a class action suit to get their money back. Anyone out there who would pro bono this one for the victims? If so run ads in the local rag to make Palin look even better in her own town. The vics might not want their names used but the need is there to make the victims rights stronger. The woman isn't a nice one and evil doesn't do her justice when you can clearly see she has Bush/Cheney/Rove in a dress and heels down without any need for prompts.
I did this this morning - I'd donate to Planned Parenthood anyway - but this gave me a warm feeling!
