Michael Morris is a professor at Columbia University in the Psychology Department and the Graduate School of Business. He runs Columbia’s Program on Social Intelligence, which sponsors leadership training informed by contemporary social psychology, social neuroscience, and social networks research. As a member of COBS, he advises progressive political leaders on the basis of psychology and behavioral economics insights.

In his research, Morris focuses on the psychological dynamics through which people’s everyday judgments, interactions, and relationships become shaped by social and cultural frameworks. His work has been recognized with awards from several academic disciplines and is regularly featured in media outlets such as The Economist, The New York Times, and NPR Marketplace. He is a founding editor of Management and Organization Review, a journal featuring research in organizational sociology and psychology pertaining to China.

Craig R. Fox, Ph.D., is Professor of Policy and Psychology at UCLA and Co-Director of the UCLA Interdisciplinary Group in Behavioral Decision Making. He is also coordinator and co-founder of the /Consortium of Behavioral Scientists /(/CoBS/), a group of leading scientific authorities on human behavior who have worked since 2004 to assist progressive political campaigns.

Fox’s research explores how people make decisions under conditions of risk and uncertainty. His work has appeared in top journals of psychology, economics, management, neuroscience, and law and has been covered by such outlets as the /New York Times /and /Wall Street Journal/. He is associate editor of the journal /Management Science.
