Changing Campaign Strategy: A Way to Win Presidential elections.

For the past two presidential election cycles, the Democrats have focused on how to win the elections instead of how to run the country. The types of people assembled to help them win, though - paid political consultants - are often not the types you would assemble to run the country. We need to refocus.

Figure out not only how to run the country, but also assemble those people who would work with the President (his or her appointees) and chances are you win the election. Run the race as an administration rather than just as president. Do it by assembling at least 200 of the top people - the 20 Cabinet Secretaries and Agency Heads, their Under Secretaries and Deputies. Then get these people together as the Cardinals do when picking the Pope and select one of themselves as President. Then, together, tell the country how you’ll run the country, where we’ll go, and what we’ll do. Chances are we’ll listen to 200 voices instead of only one.
