Qatar's First Museum of Modern Arab Art (SLIDESHOW)

Below is a virtual tour of the permanent collection and new commissions of Mathaf: Arab Museum of Modern Art, which opens December 30, 2010. Mathaf, which is located in Doha, Qatar, is the first museum in the region dedicated to modern and contemporary artists from Arab countries.

wonderful...now if only they would use the proceeds to support humanitarian causes (such as alleviating the crushing poverty in Yemen, Somalia, Palestine, Egypt, and other struggling countries in the region).
