I know we are all crossing our fingers that Diebold and voter fraud X-files don't haunt this election, and god bless 'em, teams of volunteer lawyers and videographers are standing by to tape bad behavior, file injunctions, and keep polls open if necessary. As are operators: 1-866-OUR VOTE is the number to call to report any voting irregularity you see.
But you know what -- none of this will matter if any of our candidates concede too soon in disputed races -- they need to wait until all the video and legal evidence is in!
So get out the word to leaders, candidates, kitchen cabinet members of the candidates, and their cousins and in-laws: if there are irregularities and the race is remotely close, DO NOT CONCEDE OR QUIT bleary eyed at 3 am a la Kerry 2004 because it's the "classy thing to do." Tell a wavering candidate that the right -- and classy -- thing to do is to make sure that ALL the votes count. That result is always worth waiting for.
